I’m on the opposite opinion here, that we don’t have enough time to enjoy and go through each patch’s content before they pile on more content.
Granted, having four characters needing to be taken through this patch’s cosmic exploration and this (quite taxing) relic phase, I do need more time than the average player. But even still compared to wow, this cadence is not that bad. I remember several times in wow when we had a period of one year between the final patch and the next expansion. And even then I didn’t mind, everyone has a backlog of games that need playing.

    A roadmap please!

I would prefer a tigher patch release but i'd be ok with 4-5 months with a roadmap. Be transparent please.

Looks like .45 will be dropping in early March.

"The competition has been fierce, but Season Eighteen of Crystalline Conflict will soon draw to a close with the beginning of Patch 7.45 maintenance scheduled for early March."

So in the end, what they did was delaying 2 weeks the raids in the christmas holidays because some players complained when they released chaotic raid on christmas. Because of those players who complained, we now face a 2 weeks delay on everything else for the current patch, when you look up at "when it should release" based on the previous patches schedule vs when it actually is released. The 2 weeks of delays for savage shouldn't have happened, but since it did, it shouldn't have delayed other releases since it's unrelated to savage.

Between 7.3 and 7.4, we had the longest wait so far, 19 weeks between patches. Now we'll probably have 21 weeks with that delay. So 5 months while it's supposed to be 4 months. I don't see that as good news.

While I'm happy to read the latest new and understand that it probably means March 3 for the 7.45, I'm also angry at them and using the "christmas delay" to keep making us wait more and more between patches. So far on this expansion, Cc season always had 2 months, give or take one week. This season would have 2.5 months. The end of the season and 7.45 should have been in theory this week...

Sorry if I feel negative here but I just see those "silent delays" as a lack of respect to the player base. They don't offer more content and push original new things in 7.5, but it takes like 2 years to come out. Beast Master have been announced in the 6.5 but we still have nothing. It could easily have been released to 7.1 and have some challenge like the Blue Carnival on every patches. All we had so far is similar content like we had in the past expansion, but streched to 4-5 months release instead of a 3 months cycle. And nothing more is given to us to compensate all that time that we wait for new releases.

5 months… I have a bad feeling that they are intentionally trying to stretch patches to every 6 months to have an even 2.5 years between expansions.

5 months is not really tolerable. Coming from a player who used to enjoy 3 months back at launch. 6 months is… yea, I’ll let my house go and unsub during gaps, if I even stay.

    For reference:

    7.4 released on December 16, 2025.

7.41 followed on January 27, 2026 — already a fairly long wait, about 2–3 weeks later than the usual “x.x1” timing.

Based on previous patterns, 7.45 should be around this time. Even accounting for the delay with 7.41, it shouldn’t be much more than a week or two away.

If we look at the previous cycle:

    7.3: August 5, 2025
    7.31: September 2, 2025 (one month later)
    7.35: October 7, 2025 (two months after 7.3)

We are now two months past 7.4, yet there’s still no communication about 7.45.

With a four-month patch cycle, 7.5 should land around mid-April. At this pace, however, it’s hard to see how the schedule remains consistent.

I understand that you split patch content over time to maintain a sense of ongoing updates between major releases. That makes sense from a content pacing perspective. However, some of the features tied to these sub-patches are highly anticipated by specific groups of players. For example, players who prefer branching or variant-style dungeons may be more excited for 7.45 than for 7.4 itself.

Without any kind of roadmap or rough timeline, it becomes frustrating for players who are actively waiting for that content. More than the delay itself, it’s the lack of visibility that makes it difficult. A simple schedule—even an approximate one—would go a long way toward reassuring the community and helping players plan their time.

I have a feeling that some corp person is telling Yoshi how and when to communicate. He has been way too good at keeping the players informed in the past.

My bet is the marketing department trying to control everything for the 8.0 announcement in late April.

This means patch 7.5 will be May 2nd or 9th as they never release a patch before FanFest. This is because one of the table events will be the PLL.

FanFest in Berlin is late July so that puts 7.55 around Aug 4th or 11th.

This would make a late December or early January 8.0 release date fit in with their 4 to 5 month patch gap.

You're not really making a case for what you think here. Rather, it's the opposite.

The average player does not have 4 characters. I have 1 and that is more than enough for me, and I assume this applies to most players.

Waiting this long is infuriating and boring. If you have a house or sub farming, well then you gotta pay for subs even though there's nothing to do. It's made for profit.
People who gear all their jobs via savage is also done so you must pay for sub. Locking gear, coffers and stuff was all done so people would have to spend more weeks in order to obtain something. Game willingly gatekeeping you into thinking that there's plenty of content when there's nothing. A game sin.

There's no point to even grind savage gear when you will get 790 soon normally and savage won't have better item level at all. Stat wise some yeah but nobody cares. Next expansion green item will replace all your bis that easily and you don't even need savage gear for anything later.

It's quite tiresome to be honest. Specially since every new content that comes out creates a FOMO effect as players rush to do it and then there's nobody else to do with. It dies up quickly and becomes "duty completed" only lock.
