"We heard player's feedback and decided that BLM, while indeed strong, receives additional buff to Lethargy. Now it will place a dot with potency of 400 to that player as well. We are looking forward to these great changes and will monitor how BLM performs now."

AI generated patch notes giving MCH, SMN, MNK, and DRG damage for no reason, is my favourite part. Trojan horse tactic, 1k, every now and then, and it's getting close to like 12k extra damage. The patch where they halved Fleeting Raiju Ready's duration was a real head-scratcher. Fortunately someone on the JP forums put forward what I'd wanted to say without having to run a bad machine translated post myself, but what seemed like a minor thing significantly impacted what I believe is a core aspect of NIN's current PvP identity; and that's flexibility.
Did that change not hit before they granted five Purify/Recups opposed to the original four as well? I can't remember. If so, that made that tweak even more mystifying. Doubt it'll happen but I'd really like that change to be walked back on. Along with being able to drag Doton while dashing again (c'mon VPR can do it with Scales...) Heck just one of those things would be good.
I don't know but sometimes it's like the current PvP devs can't (won't...? To give the benefit of the doubt) do simple math with the potency numbers vs rates of damage output either, no field experience even required. Really is unfortunate.
The one before they globally beefed up all the HP values right? Oh I don't think that was random. That put it just outside of the then 2-tap if you'd dragged Doton at the previous health tier it was at (the same as SGE, but yeah, clearly who cared about those). Okay fair chance it may still have been random, but I couldn't help notice that side-effect if so. Smh YoshiP...




What makes lethargy so good is that it's very spammable and it attaches a debuff (damage down) to the crowd control (heavy).
Debuffs aren't cleansed by Purify and also not nullified by Guard.
Ninja gets touched because people think it's a strong job, when in fact it's the least played job in higher ranks because of how terrible its damage and crowd control is. You either use it or lose it. Same with Mudras. Ninja is the only job that gets punished for decision making, but not compensated. We used to have RDM when you had to chose between White and Black. Basically if you want to have a great impact and not be a waste of pixels as a NIN you have to become a 'drain job'. You use your CC, if somebody purifies, then use it on someone else. Then Goka as many as you can. You basically want to burn Mana and make a difference that way. Unless you're targeting a 'streamer' when everyone just knows to focus, it will never work outside of that, or for example focusing the '1' tag, since, even the people that do tag, don't even focus their own target.

I completely stopped using Hyosho shuriken ability as Ninja. I don't know what happened but I cannot see that big 18k damage anymore. Either nothing happens on the target or the damage is applied 2-3 seconds later and it's nothing. If you can open with Assassinate then it is a good follow up. It can make people panic heal! Outside of that though, you just want to spit on as many debuffed people as you can! That way you can guarantee that your damage is going to people around the crystal and that's what really matters! Edit: Also how many times we failed LB with Ninja despite target being under 50% HP? Crazy I know.
I've literally LB people at 25% HP just for it to not go of because on the same frame they recovered with 1k HP to spare, NIN LB animation takes too long and it's low priority on the calculations from my experience. It's one of the reasons if you LB and a WHM Poly's you. You'll lose LB and it won't trigger.
