Well, today I lost my weekly-locked ability to play Faux Hollows for the first time ever. Because I got hit with a DirectX crash right as my board opened up.
And yes, I know there's a warning, blah blah blah, "working as intended" - I have been doing Unreals every week since they've been added, sans a handful of weeks when I let my sub lapse over the years.
My feedback on the matter is that this intention overwhelmingly punishes players for circumstances outside their control, in the name of a non-existent cheating problem that, even if it DID exist, could be resolved in a much less punishing—and potentially less server-intensive?—way. Having the tax of a live board roll for every player, every time, seems a bit taxing. And if the boogeyman concern is "oh no people will cheat to re-roll for better boards" then the solution shouldn't be "punish everyone who legitimately gets interrupted", it should be "pre-load or temp save the assigned board, until it is played or weekly reset occurs (whichever happens soonest)".
Anyway. My life's not ruined. I'll miss my 40-80 pity leaves this week (foxes don't exist anyway, right? lol) but I'll be back trying next week.
And hopefully 7.41 and/or a driver update will save me from this nonsense punishment. Or the root of the design flaw could be addressed. Either way!
