Free login campaign during worst DDoS & other maint streak? Just WHY?

I've been getting constant disconnects on the free login campaign as well as getting gated heavily at the dungeons and trials waiting for me to grind up my item level every time. I'm probably not even going to make it through 7.3 content at this rate.
Considering how people said the story gets better in 7.4 when we dump wuk lamat, I was hoping to see it improved but this is insane, I can't get anywhere like this. It's super long queues for everything, ilvl gating, and then crashing out of duties because of the DDOS issues.

also lmao being surprised pikachu face that if you don't do the bare minimum of gameplay to not have an ilvl where you're actively a liability to your party - and it's already really low -, you'll have to actually obtain gear.

Anyway, maybe I'm just incredibly lucky but erm, I've not had a single ddos while playing on NA so I dunno /shrug
