Please add various body shapes and skin options in character creation

Technically they could do this the same way they did it with the breast slider. Specifically they would need to add two new bones to the skeleton, one for each butt cheek, then skin the butt part of every single variation of every single leg piece in the game to be influenced by said bone, then redo every single leg animation so that the leg motion looks right, then they would make it so that the slider scales said butt bone.

It's doable but would be such an obscene amount of work that I have no idea if it will ever be done. If they ever redo the body model like they did for the faces in dawntrail then that would be the time to do it. It would be easier per piece then the faces and a lot easier to make it look right, but there are hundreds of pieces so it honestly might take even longer then the faces did.

It might ironically be easier for them to just make differently scaled models of everything with like, 3 different butt sizes, then use shapekeys or something, like they already do with character jaw size, then just use the model that matches the player's chosen butt size.

Yeah, you're right and I forgot the third-party mod requires a new skeleton added for all the races too. Also, I talked to others, and they all mentioned that the reason they will never update the body or change most of the LQ textures because they need to be able to load like 100+ Wols at once in LL or at a hub so they can't take too much time rendering everyone or crash other PCs if it's just too much too.

Myself, I wish they would cure the male Hrothgar's chronic osteoporosis. We know they can stand up straight so lets have it. WoW fixed the orcs slouch, im sure FF14 can do the same.

Also, I talked to others, and they all mentioned that the reason they will never update the body or change most of the LQ textures because they need to be able to load like 100+ Wols at once in LL or at a hub so they can't take too much time rendering everyone or crash other PCs if it's just too much too.

The only reason the dark magics takes times to load people is because the stuff is not stored clientside until you cache it and even then it's deleted if your cache fills up. having better bodies built into the game there would be no extra 'load times' many MMO's have far more customizable bodies and don't have issues loading "thousands" of players in 1 area. it would not even take up and more space on your system really maybe a few MB to add the extra bones and physics for the bones as well as the clothing. The issue is They have been lazy like VERY lazy and a lot of clothing isn't mapped properly and certain poses really break outfits.

Yes, though if people still want the slouch then again, the WoW devs left it in for those people as well. Give us at least the choice.

Skin, sure, don't really care. Would be nice if there were more nuanced shades (I'm not this dark IRL) but I take what I can get, especially from a game made by east-asian devs. (I still hate Mabinogi for having like 10 shades of pasty white and one shade of charcoal black when I played it).

Body types? Absolutely not. They can't even handle the types we have.

Speaking on that considering how slutty they make some of their 'NPCs' like the one for the halloween even doing a custom pose that was akin to a courtesan on the street trying to get a "john" to get money from... it amazes me that they removed butts. the flat butts are so stupi and really make us look very pathetic.

You do realize changing to highlander changes most animations and various other race options, right? It's not the same thing. Regardless, Miqo'te and Au'ra have the same issue and they do not have a larger size option, so your point is moot.
