Who is your Favorite Final Fantasy Character?

Going by the Final Fantasy games I've actually played and had distinct casts of characters (FF1 only has "jobs" and that's it), I typically have one favorite male and one favorite female in each one:

FF4: Cecil & Rydia
FF5: Galuf and Reina
FF6: Terra & Locke
FF7: Tifa & Vincent
FF8: Laguna & Quistis
FF9: Freya & Zidane
FF10: Auron & Lulu
FF12: Fran & Balthier
FFT: Beowulf & Reis

Final Fantasy 14 is a bit harder to decide because aside from the cast being much larger than the rest, most of them aren't "playable" in the traditional sense like previous characters, and I haven't actually "finished" FF14 so I can't really give most characters a final verdict yet.

That is your perception. What do you mean by transphobic? I said nothing about trans.

Putting labels aside, every human being has their own experience.

Human beings who experience dysphoria ~ whether gender dysphoria or conceptual dysphoria ~ all have individual experiences. Some parts may mirror each other, and some parts do not.

I am not trans. I am a male on HRT. My gender identity and gender expression, if we want to go there, do not mirror trans women. Trans women have their own mirror, and I have love for them ~ but I am not one of them.

I don’t appreciate your assumptions, and I will not fall in line with something I am not.

Nor will I identify my presence as transphobic. Label me what you will. I’m personally done with labels. There’s nothing inherently wrong with labels ~ but I’m done.

“Transphobic” is false. Shutting down people who also have their own individual experiences of dysphoria helps no one.

You be you, hun. I would recommend leaving personal photos off the forums just for safety reasons, but you're fine. (I literally have zero idea why you're labeled a "grifter" and just assume that word is starting to lose all meaning and just be "someone that does thing I don't like.")

Anyway.

It's G'raha Tia now, but my favorite until FFXIV was always Zell Dincht from FFVIII when I was a kid.

I think a certain type of guy appeals to me.

I can't think of any FF characters from the games I played which I do not like. Some can be a tad bland though.

My favs:

FFIV: Cecil, his journey about forgiveness to himself and others is IMO one of the best written stories in FF.

FFVII CC: Zack => How can you not like him?

FFX: The whole cast was very likeable and shared beautiful moments. I guess Auron stands out

FFXII: Again an amazing cast, Balthier is one of the stand out characters in the whole franchise. Ashe will always be my fav FF heroine. Honorable mention to Basch, I really wish SE would have not scrapped that Fortress game. Besides it being a perfect fit for its time, it also would have developed a romance between Basch and a certain female character

FFXIII: Light of course!

FFXV: All the Chocobro's... best party ever

FFXVI: TBH it is hard for me to judge because the cast seemed so incredibly small to me and most side characters look like unvoiced MMO NPCs. Not having an actual party and be able to play together made them feel less important. I really enjoyed Clive and Jill though.

My first FF was 9. Freya inspired me as a career DRG. Though I don't think I play good enough to main that class anymore after aging and a few work accidents. Wanna say Kain too but never got around to finishing that one and Estinien is a natural FF14 favorite.
