    DNC dances need to have a 25 yalm radius not 15

    The title says it all. There is nothing more annoying then when DNC players need to do a ranged mechanic in high end content and standard finish and technical finish can't hit the boss. Tillana and fan dance IV also suffer from this problem.

    Good examples of this are when ranged were tethered to the wall in Pt2 of M7s, standard step had to miss for 0 damage or you risked dying and wiping the party. In M6s when baiting puddles in Lava phase both standard finish and fan dance IV couldn't hit the boss because of the 15 yalm radius. DNC baiting liquid hells in ucob is trolling because of this problem and don't get me started on mirror mirror in FRU with a quick kill time on P1 because DNC is getting hit by that axe kick trying to hit the boss with tech finish, finishing move and tillana.

    Please just give standard finish, technical finish, fan dance IV and tillana the same range as literally every other ranged ability.

    The problem with it is less the range and more how it can be pretty hard to tell when you are out of range, especially in the heat of the moment, the difference between 15y and 15.51y can be pretty impossible to tell, I'd be happy with a function that tells me the exact distance I am from my target, in yalms.

    without fun jobs none of the content is fun!
    jobs should have their full rotations on lvl 60 or 70! for a better low lvl experience.
    for satisfying glam builduing we need 5 basic glamplates + 2 more for each class / job
    pls give us a proper glam collection like every other mmo has.
    pls upgrade the gear from normal raid and also alliance-raid by 10 ilvl each.
    pls add old glowy ex trial weapons for new jobs!
    and for gods sake pls give as the ability to preview any hairstyle on our own character!

    Not being able to tell the distance from an enemy has been one of the most stupid things about the user interface. But lacking basic UI features required for the MMO to function smoothly is quite normal in this game.

    I seem to recall that the step dances used to be 25 yalms? Wasn't there a fix to reduce them because people kept accidentally pulling adds with them or something?

    It's 2026, "Accidentally pulling adds" isn't really a thing as any competent tank will Wall to Wall anyway.

    And any Tank whos awake in a raid setting will have aggro of adds long before your dances go off.

    The UI of FFXIV in terms of what information is available is at least a decade behind other MMO's.



    You can't see how much HP a boss or mob has, only percentages.

    You can't see how far you are from an enemy unit.

    We lack simple quality of life features like Inventory, Retainer and Saddlebag search bars.


    ARR came out in 2013, we didn't get timers on party frame buffs until like 2023...

    M7S... Oh lord the tethers, if you go too far forward to hit your dances and your healers aren't watching you're dead.

    It's either your dance doesn't hit or you hold it, if you hold it you mess the flow of your rotation.

    Personnally I like how the things are now. It is really not a problem and is part of the charm of the job.
    For M7S I just talked to my healer and we swapped place.

    Also increasing the radius of the dances would make dancer extremely annoying in some content such as deep dungeon.

    On the other hand, the fact that the damage repartition of the dances is proximity based (closest ennemy takes 100% damage and others take something like 50%) can be penalizing in some contents such as Quantum 40 where you are forced to attack from the front or the side otherwise your damage output is divided by 2. It would be better if the selected target takes full damage which is the case for other jobs such as Pictomancer.

    Mirror mirror is so bad with a quick kill time now its insane. Since dungeon gear, new food and new pots its pretty much required to pull with technical step to get it up ASAP otherwise you're eating that axe kick.

    I just don't understand it. DNC is already a victim of the ranged tax so then putting silly limits on our range is just insane.

    Swapping with the healer was not an option in PF and you either had the samage ghost on standard or risked it all and wiped.
