I pay to not be able to play

I live in South America. I pay R$30,00 every month to play. Though I have been into FFXVI for 3 years, only recently I was able to afford to play it a bit more consistently (just got my 150 days veteran reward)

But now every single day the DDOS kick everyone out of the server several times a day! It's been three times just today, then I had to sit in queue waiting for 1500 people to log in before me. It wasn't like this two years ago! I don't understand why Square Enix can't at least explain why they're not doing anything about it

Admitedly it feels like my money is going to waste if I cannot even play for more than 1 hour at a time

I'd like to pay R$30,00 every month. Atm I pay $23 Cad (R$93,00) for the same experience as you do because SE does not even have local prices here...Brazil is the lucky exception.

I'd be paying R$70 instead but luckily I if I pay through Steam I get to escape from paying it in dollars, you should look up steam prices maybe?

honeslty i jsut pay the sub on here or if its cheaper fo ryou. do the time card. Not being rude at all at teh suggestion if its cheaper. Beign DDOs sucks especially when doing current extreme to farm it and getting d/c at teh wrong time when you are at 2.5% of the boss hp left

It is a Brasil thing. Steam charges the same here: no local prices. We pay triple than what you pay and get DC'd anyway.

I wish I could pay in Pounds or Euros: it would still be significantly less expensive but this game does not allow changing zones even if you physically move as it makes you forever tied to a region (your only choice is to start a new character and lose everything, including mogstation purchases). It set the CAD to the USD value more than 10 years ago at its highest value when they exceptionally were at pair for a brief period of time. Many things are frozen in time in this game.

If OP is from Brazil, 30 BRL is around 2% of the minimum wage. You never know, it could be much harder for him to pay the subscription fee, as much as you might want to pay in BRL when your income is in CAD...
