so just went in to make a new viera to see and both new hairstyles for viera are available to both genders. So im guessing its a bug or something cause it REALLY would make no sense to not let hte one new hrothgar hairstyle be usable by both genders when the other two are (also weird though since both the new viera hairstyles are ALSO free ones available at character creation. No idea why they decided to do things different for hrothgar)

yep thats the exact same thing im saying. It really makes no sense whatsoever since both of the Viera hairstyles are available to both genders AND available at character creation but then they gender-locked the free hrothgar one (or maybe a bug possibly?) and the other gotta buy/unlock. On Zalera at least looks like its going for ~100k atm.

Yeah. Well the Early to Rise one is a hair that you had to purchase, this is so for all races. It's from Bozja I think. I think it's okay? Everyone had to buy it to unlock it. Do you want it? It's uh pretty cheap. I can buy it for you and meet you on one of the servers of OCE to hand it over.

I mean im not really interested in that hairstyle and initially was just confused since it wasnt showing up. I feel the bigger issue is the fact that for some reason while they gave both Viera and Hrothgar 2 new hairstyles (well at least new for them) this patch a) hrothgar have to actually buy one of theirs (both viera ones are free and available to both genders at character creation) AND female hrothgar ONLY get the one hairstyle (the Early to Rise one) while the other hairstyle added seems to only be available to male hrothgar. Seems like a really stupid decision on SE's part I'd say.Yeah. Well the Early to Rise one is a hair that you had to purchase, this is so for all races. It's from Bozja I think. I think it's okay? For 7.4 it seems like the Hrothgar got two unlockables alongside the one shared one, it's why it might appear you didn't get much anything.
While one of the styles is Early to Rise as mentioned from before, the other one is Great Lengths: https://ffxivcollect.com/hairstyles/413 at least it's only 30 000 MGP from Gold Saucer. It's unisex as well so male hrothgar can also use it.

Not really sure what you are talking about. https://gyazo.com/03134bbf9607f6d47ac76d8a98722ab4 This is the spot in the patch notes directly showing the hairstyles they added for Viera and Hrothgar. The viera ones are both free and available at character creation (and available for both genders). The one shown on the male hrothgar is free and available at character creation BUT only available for male hrothgar. The one shown on female hrothgar is the aforementioned Early to Rise which requires getting it from Bozja/MB (on zalera at least was sitting at around 100k last i checked) and is available to both genders. This literally means that, in essence, Viera got 4 hairstyles overall (each gender got 2) while hrothgar only got 3 (male hrothgar hair is genderlocked and early to rise usable on both) with the added aspect that the only hairstyle female hrothgar can use is the one that requires RNG/gil.For 7.4 it seems like the Hrothgar got two unlockables alongside the one shared one, it's why it might appear you didn't get much anything.

Great Lengths was added for male hrothgar back in 6.4 and if it is indeed unlocked for femhroth (and for whatever weird reason they just dont mention it in the patch notes) still is an utterly stupid thing to give male hrothgar EVEN MORE hairstyles (they sit at like 22 available at character creation while femhroth are stuck at like...12, like seriously SE?)

I apologize, I should of looked closer at the both genders but was in a bit of a rush to get to bed from falling asleep as I checked female hrothgar styles on retainer barber shop view, it's a great way by the way to view unlocked hairstyles as the selection mirrors your characters, provided the race you're viewing has it unlocked.
To be honest, it's best not try make sense of the order of the hairstyles both genders for viera and hrothgar are given as they are still playing catch up with the original (incl. au ra) shared/in game acquired/Old Online shop ones. Female Hrothgar especially are still trailing behind their opposite getting styles that the 3 have already unlocked.
Now, if we look at both hrothgar genders with the retainer appearance re-do view, we can see that mHroth got 3 default hairstyles this patch (Funnily, they unlocked Early to Rise too in a patch earlier than 7.4), but they are hairstyles both viera genders already have, and likely something fHrothgar will get their turn in having in a future patch.
Their patch notes also always just show one hairstyle and the rest, being 2-3 others in count, you have to find out yourself. Viera this patch got all 3 same hairstyles for both genders, all unisex with 2 being default styles as you noted, and the third is https://store.finalfantasyxiv.com/ff...us/product/305 While the armor is for male characters only, the hairstyle itself is unisex but aye at a great cost.
I left female Omega style in on the pics to show I've scrolled to bottom and starting from newest ones.
