Unfortunately unless they do a proper rework of aetheric mimicry or introduce a system that locks you into a role with a fixed set of spells you MUST bring it is unlikely to happen. YoshiP directly said it on one of the live letters years ago about "if we did allow them we would need to force BLU into certain actions which is against the principle of the job".

If it doesn't come with 7.45 as a test run for 7.5 with BST it will most likely stay the same sadly.

Just allow the roulette! And whatever you get, you get. Shiva normal with 8 blue mages who all took healer spec? You're still fine. What is the problem? As long as ex and savage aren't in the roulette it's all as casual as a variant dungeon.

If a particular duty is actually impossible for a group, simply vote abandon and requeue. Let the chaos reign.

No, I insist it's fine. If WAR can solo everything in the roulette synched then 4-8 BLUs can clear it, even without Mimicry.

Also you can edit your spellbook inside instances. Just not during combat.

The real reason we can't easily have this is because BLU doesn't play nice with level sync. All of its skills are level 1 and weapon stats don't matter. SQEX has no way (yet) of designing a roulette that can handle BLU's flexibility.

Current roulette technology might give me a SHB dungeon but a teammate who is level 80 in full poetics with nothing but Water Cannon unlocked. I could sit here and try to design solutions to this problem. But if the devs want this roulette to exist, then they'll solve it, and I'll like it.
