You called it a drag and a clusterfuck. I have a hard time believing you "got it nailed down" before BLM burning.

We had maybe 10 kills before BLM burn strat came out...and we didn't have it nailed down.

BLM burn is nailed into the coffin....Until May 10th!

I just dont find it challenging, it was the first time, and maybe a few times after that, but the strategy got nailed down and it was a case of "woo now we grind grind grind" not into that personally so its about where i stopped, then i did the burns, which is begining to get boring as that challenge is over.

Ifrit was challenging first time, is it now? Nopes. How i feel about it.

I play games to have fun most of the time tho, not seeking challenge, get a lot of challenge from RL stuff. I play games to RELAX and have FUN.

i think it took BG 32 runs or so to even beat it so the whole challenging first couple times thing seems a bit exaggerated. Also you said before that before this strat came out is was a cluster F and you'd rather not do it at all then do it the old way...

I feel we will just get into one of those "interweb arguements" that never ends, so opinions be opinions.

I prefer this method, and sadly will see it gone as i find it much more fun than the cluster fuck that is the "normal strategy".

The normal strategy is not a cluster ---- if you know what your doing. Its just a bit less relaxed on positioning and reflexes compared to the other fights in game.

Could we get a request going asking for people who used the exploit to lose their garuda weapons? It affects the items rarity to have everyone have all the weapons...

I'm sure its logged somewhere.

And it'd leave in record that if you do an exploit you'll lose your winnings.

We will be fixing/adjusting the Garuda battle in patch 1.22a, which is scheduled to be released on May 10th.

The adjustments to the battle will be made such that there are no extreme effects to players who have been using regular strategies. Once Garuda’s HP falls to a certain percentage she will use Aerial Blast.

new strat; burn garuda so fast that the pillars dont go down and you hit the Once Garuda’s HP falls to a certain percentage she will use Aerial Blast. then just use the extra 2 minutes you have from when 2hr is over to when the clones can wipe pt to burn her down. gg

I wonder this....

At some point when the level cap is 99, BLMs will be able to go to Ifrit or Garuda and one shot them with one big Burstaga or something like that, therefore, skipping hellfire or Aerial blast completely...

Would that, also, be an exploit?
