    Err, they mean an autorun feature like mobile MMOs have. It functions by basically doing the travel from NPC to NPC for you. Some still make you click through the text, some also skip that part and the game just fully plays itself. It doesn't just run in a straight line. Auto-pathing might be an easier term to use.

    Halatali chains are interactable outside of combat and only initiate combat afterwards, that means you only need the one player running with trusts to be able to interact with them, ergo they do not matter for actually designing the dungeon around trusts.

    The issue was never with interactables that are just for traversal or any kind of downtime within the dungeon.
    It's specifically fight mechanics that require interacting with something or performing any kind of action that isn't just "dodge the hit". Because trusts can't do it and the single actual player might not be the correct role to do it themselves (can't use interactables when you're the tank and constantly getting slapped).

    The last one is especially baffling. The only thing I can imagine is that there were already pathing issues because it's not a single corridor.

    And you can absolutely expect them to remove the interactable fruit in Aurum Vale when they redesign that one, which probably means the removal of the entire Gold Lung mechanic.

    I am fairly sure that the crowd they trying to pull into FF with this autorun feature will not stay in the game for more than a month. Because it's the same crowd that jumps onto every new hype gacha game, throws money at it and then jumps onto a new one. None of these people will stay, and ruining the experience for a long term players just so you can get a one-time payment from mobile crowd isn't a good strategy.
    To be fair yes, we just need a button to straight skip to the latest expansion, not some autorun.

    Thanks for detailed answer, didn't realise it was that much.

    I still maintain if the auto-run is optional, it's a "whatever" feature, that some people might enjoy.

    If it just turns out to be an entirely optional feature then I am also whatever about it.
    My concern is simply that it will have a negative knock-on effect on world design to make the auto-pathing function.

    I'd be ok with more "hop onto this animal and ride across the map with an ally while talking lore about the region" quests personally. I'd like more of those voiced too tbh. We already technically have an autorun, you just go straight until you run into something. I don't see a need to fully afk this game during quests.

    I also agree that auto run and teleport to next step should not be used.

    Auto run makes sense on a mobile phone but not on a console or PC game. It’s a slippery slope and it would eventually devolve into something I don’t want to think about.

    It seems, that they really try to compete with movie streaming services like Netflix. The ingame cutscenes are becoming longer and longer and they implement more and more features, which ensure, that the players play less because there are shortcuts everywhere and everything is becoming semi automated. And i do not think, that it is the right direction. A game is a game and not a movie.
