They should add auto running and open world pvp at the same time, it'd be funny.

Yeah it’s already bad and with this feature it’s gonna get even worse. And btw the entire point is not even the speed of traversing, but the ability to do fun to things like flying over S9.All maps are already empty and way too big. Same goes for duties since ARR. I wouldn’t mind hitting auto-run during CT roulette for example.
This is just a bonus you’re free to use or not. And we don’t know if they going to design maps over one basic button. That’s way too extreme way of thinking and overly dramatic if you want my opinion.
Also reminder that, we don’t know for sure this feature will happen and you guys are already all over the place.
Alright I join the bandwagon of dooming over the game before losing my sanity and using common sense.
game bad game dead ggs yoship now we all unsub
Not wanting a garbage feature doesn't mean i hate everything about the game. I like post-DT MSQ, i absolutely love raids and ultimates. And ignoring the problems and POTENTIAL problems isn't much better than dooming all the time.
That's fair, but I also think macro is a garbage feature.
Macro rez specifically.
And it changes absolutely nothing about the game. So why dooming already over something we don't know much about?
You're not using common sense, you're using your bias. What makes you think we don't use common sense either? We already explained how auto run could potentially worsen the map design, yet your only argument is "nah it won't happen, trust".
You say current map is too big and empty? You're right, I agree, but the solution isn't to add mobile game mechanic to cover the issue. They should instead make the map like ARR again (just slightly bigger). ARR regions are much more alive and realistic compared to other regions (from HW to DT, with some exceptions of course)
How could they worsen big empty maps already? That’s where the lack of common sense is. This whole thread is some delusional circus over a feature we don’t know much about. You're not using common sense, you're using your bias. What makes you think we don't use common sense either? These forums are pretty much the only way western players can voice their concerns. If Joshi announces that he is planning to add a feature that would cause a massive exodus should we not speak up and just let them do their thing? Maybe they listen, maybe they don't, but as someone who loves the game I would rather at least try. This defeatist attitude and shutting people down by calling them crybabies adds literally nothing to the conversations being had. If the subject is not important to you then ignore the thread?
If you think the maps are big, boring and empty just advocate for nicer world design. Asking a product you enjoy to get better is not a problematic practice. Feedback is literally how MMOs survive and thrive. There is no way a dev team, no matter how diverse, can really know how their players feel and what they want unless we tell them.

Im confused the game already has autorun... well it just goes forward.. and we have the follow function. Unless they meant like autorun as in forcing u to run thru quests like how mounts with cutscenes were (i.e. argos.. seikret..)???
