    Crystalline Conflict is all about healers

    This is not exactly news, but it's been more insufferable than it has always been. Healers break the mode. If you don't get a healer and the opposing team gets one, then have fun trying to climb that hill while your own team just dies. Healers just completely change the sustain paradigm in games and the difference between having one or not is night and day.

    SCH may allow less on the spot healing than WHM/AST but comes up with its own can of worms that I don't think anyone needs to be reminded of. Without even speaking about Seraph, the LB heals more than anybody else combined anyway. 26k healing + 30k shielding to a single person (280k if you hit your whole team).

    Also who the heck decided to give a teleport to AST? That job is already stupidly survivable on its own, more than any other job, but we can't even try to kill it anyway, they have a free escape button? The job has the best healing in the game by far, one if not the best LB in the game, has strong crowd control, and is absolutely unkillable unless the player (or their team) literally sniffs glue. Not dissimilar to PCT in that regard.

    What are the devs thinking? Are we still fighting the old demons of Feast days or what?

    The only part of this that's remotely problematic is AST having a dash. Idk how SCH gets brought up but not Chain Strategem. Guard crack shouldn't exist.

    The rest of this is absolutely secondary to the main issues of CC.

    Chain Strat is a separate problem that didn't need to be mentioned into this thread for the sake of clarity, and the double heal down combo when combined with DRK is at least as egregious if not more as well, but same thing. There is another thread for the two elephants in the room - SCH/PCT.

    I think I would have agreed with this at 7.1 when AST was just stupid, but it really isn't anymore apart from the big fat question mark of why is has an omni-directional dash.

    This is a fine line to walk. You can't make healers so strong that they solo carry through coordinated burst, and you can't make them so weak that you don't bother bringing them over more damage. Right now they aren't either. Teams aren't stacking healers, they're stacking tanks with SCH.

    Although I'll admit that I forgot to mention that I'm strictly speaking about random queue, not LPs.

    I do understand that's the arena you're talking about, but the balance has to be around the maximum potential, not "how things play out, on average, uncoordinated".
