* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

Good luck getting a rep response they don't seem to say much these days, I think Yoshi has told them to stop sending him so many idea's, I guess he must be bogged down by sticky notes everywhere lol.

Well, when you get threads like "Make Nighttime scary", you're obviously gonna develop a hesitance to look at the forums for ideas. That being said, this one should definitely be brought to the devs and implemented.

Vanity slots are a good idea, just give them a toggle for players that don't like it and your set.

bring back the extra earring/ bracelet slots. I don't know what's going on with the down-sizing, it's like they're gimping the system(what is it, PS3 limitations now??). I dig the vanity slots but what if that was just compensation for the lack of rings and bracelets we used to have?
SE should been giving us more, not taking away! For some of us it'll make sense to have more earrings and rings on us(maybe even lip/nose rings).

Here's a little comparison for you.
Pre-1.21:
12 slot points
4 ring slots
2 wrist slots
2 earring slots
1 neck slot
Now, how much of that was usually used at 50? 3 rings due to the Lv42 rings taking up 4 pts each. Each ring gave +8 to a stat.
Now:
No slot cost limitations
2 ring slots
1 wrist, neck, earring slot.
The basic rings we use at 50 now give +15 each, which total out to more stat bonuses already. But wait, there's more! We can also equip a neck piece (an extra 25 attack, 10 healing potency, etc) a wristband (+MP/HP and +3 to a stat, extra enmity+, etc), and an earring! (more healing potency, enmity+/-, etc)
I'd say that adds up to getting more. If you're worried about the vanity gained from the extra wrists/rings, they were covered by equipment 99% of the time anyway.
