And then that "conflict" was just "we're in different teams for this contest but we're still buddies and crack jokes"? This "rebirth" is literally going to be, at best, a new starting point in the MSQ when you create your character. That's it.
"Become the Warrior of Darkness" was the one that made me the most angry. I was all like, "yay we get to take on the mantle of Zodiarc's chosen for a bit!" could have made for some absolutely amazing story telling. But noooooo it was just what some npc called us in the new zones. Was so so so so so so so mad about that.
