Please remove housing lottery and make some other way of house acquisition.

Hah, now I remember someone who claimed they got scammed/robbed by someone, but it turns out they had an auto-clicker trying to bid on the same plot over a period of time and the person who had won the plot put their retainer there and just sold a load of things at very expensive prices that the auto-clicker ended up buying.

i tried this, after i won plot and the single other guy by the placard kept on. to their luck, they had just right flavour of dumber or smarter clicker.
it kept interacting with retainer, so i couldn't move it until the human woke up to their defeat and buzzed off.

one of two plots i won in that era: with that one i checked the interesting free plots in evening, had good night sleep and for breakfast checked which ones out of the interesting ones were still free. less than 2 hours of clicking.

the other one was just blind chance and luck, 15 minutes of clicking.

instanced housing will kill lots of good social aspects of the game.
I dont' see a reason why they are unable to add more wards and continue to do so if the game does grow.

I wont say this isn't true to some extent, but I would hope they keep the wards (at least the ones that are there) and put the insranced housing up in addition to the wards
Especially lately tho, our FC is starting to hang out around the FC house, but aside from a member that got a small plot right by our FC we have not met a single member in our neighborhood.

I think maybe if they implement insranced housing, maybe it is a big condo or something, and each floor is like a hallway with several room entrances and they have a mb and retainer bell in the hallway? That could simulate some sort of community elements that are typical of wards? Just some thoughts.

I fully agree they should have instanced housing separate from the ward houses (or at the very least majorly overhaul apartments) so that those who just want to build a place to live and invite their friends over can do that. But people who have put a lot of time and work into their clubs, bars, restaurants, etc. and other social RP scenes can still keep their houses and host art parties, themed events, or simply provide the space for people to gather and RP. We may not see many actual people out and about in our neighborhoods, but there's generally always something going on somewhere, and I think losing THAT is the main fear a lot of people who don't want to lose the social aspects of wards have.

Their entire reason for wanting to remove the lottery is "I'm unlucky, so it's bad."

1 gets lucky and the chances is equal for all including the winner.... start small is my advice higher chance... then have the lottery work for anything above, but to be honest from y experience having a roof over the head is really nice no matter what... been here for almost 9 and a half years or there about myself.

The problem is it's not really equal for all anymore. People are actively gaming the system by having alts or other accounts ALSO bid. Which makes them considerably more likely to actually get the house in the first place. Unless Square does something to fix that, those who play fairly and don't cheat will always be at a disadvantage.

The problem with that argument though is until they DO crack down on alts and housing, there isn't a better system anyway. Any possible system you can think of is going to get abused by alts and it'll be worse than what we have now. This is really a completely separate issue, one they refuse to fix by simply imposing a hard "one house per server for every paid account" rule.

Essentially, the lottery is going to be the most fair system regardless of whether alts are involved or not.
