If the Feast items are purchasable for commendation crystals earned by reaching high ranks in CC, or for something similarly challenging, then I don't see an issue with bringing them back. That'd be great.

I could understand being upset if they're given out for free as battlepass or trophy crystal rewards. That'd be not just insulting, but bad for the health of the game. Let's hope the devs will be sensible.

I don't mind like they are ancient and now have the Replica label on them like OP your memories will remain of The Feast and that's all that matters since this is a MMO and they will always recycle rewards over time. Also, I've only seen the Feast flying chair mount like once in my almost 300 matches of FL, and I said it was a surprise at the time in chat, like so many former players have already quit FFXIV.

If this is the last straw preventing anyone from quitting FFXIV, let it go, my friends as it's been a decade already and it's time to find any other new game.

Injecting a massive collection of desirable, exclusive sets into the ecosystem as ranked rewards would definitely keep queues alive and popping for the foreseeable future. Anyone that doesn't get their desired reward in the first season can just try again next season, and people that want them all will have to play for years to get all the sets they want (assuming they rank high enough to win a prize every season). Knowing SE though, taking the reasonable middle ground route where rewards are made accessible without ruining the prestige factor for veterans was probably never on the table.

I feel the annoyance at this, despite not having any feast rewards myself. The NA-gravity-pulled-societies are rife with frauds, cheats and thieves everywhere, getting everything handed to them with minimal effort in the social media economy, whilst acting like they earned it. Companies trademarking phrases and other things they didn't create or contribute to. And then like any of us, you're just a random person at home trying to carve out a nice slice of life, you even find 'the world' somtimes coming after one of the few special things you got/did for yourself also (such as said feast rewards). I don't think that these glams should be given out again so easily. I understand however that with yesterday's surprise announcement on glamours being unlocked, they are undertaking a broad swipe at the whole glamours subject (which is great) and some few people will partially suffer at the benefit of everyone else. If these replica outfits are indeed coming, maybe there's a chance they are recolours, but I doubt it.

10 or so years is a hell of a run for exclusivity in this particular case, and generally, people don't care as much about what other characters are wearing anymore (partially because of gameplay-centric job identity loss), people barely talk out of fear of GM punishment (also because of Discord), so you're not getting as much 'value' out of the gear as one once would have anyway.

Perhaps a 'compensation' or 'offset' could be made for the Feast Top100 players, whereby they are given access to a new exclusive hangout room- a 'Champion's Chambers' hall area akin to a Mansion interior, either within Limsa itself or within the island at Wolves' Den. A mildly-eleganty designed area with retainer bell, mailbag, (I don't think glam dresser would be possible) and 'elite battle performance themed' reskins of existing gold saucer minigames (mechanically the same). Training Dummies in a dojo/Kitchen/dining hall/study and a few other areas including another PvP zone like the wolves den has. Maybe even add the ability for players to play Shogi there at tables, before adding it to the Gold Saucer for everyone else 2 months later (Just make it fast to play and load into/through, unlike triple triad tournaments which are full of waiting). There would also be an inspect point in one corner (with some eorzean script tablets) where players can view character names (and scores?) of all feast top 100ers from those days.

From this, only future top100 players (from ranked CC or whatever after the win trading is cleaned up) would join the feast top100 players in getting permanent access to these chambers. I feel that's special enough of a reward without upsetting people. I had considered suggesting a bring-a-guest system for this too (with cooldown limits), but it would only result in 'champion' players 'selling access' to the room, so no. Perhaps players could exchange 1 Khloe silver commendation scroll for an envelope item that gives 2-hour guest access to the hall. The top100'ers should have the option of entering their own shared private instance of the hall to round it off though. A healthy blend of exclusivity and envy without repeating the cycle.

There is a difference between crying for things they could obtain like ultimate weapons for example and things that are simply not available in the game any more.
The feast rewards could and should have been brought back years ago.
We can talk about the HOW (like rewards for ranked pvp) but not about the IF.


Bring back feast rewards, make it so everything in this game is obtainable for everyone through effort.
We have 2025, nothing in an MMO should be FOMO anymore.

So also the trophies that are housing items for being first place in the feast seasons? Or the framekits for reaching the respective class in Crystaline Conflict without reaching the respective class in the season?

Also there is no reason to have any competitive PvP content when there are no rewards or just the same as for doing non competitive PvP content.

I also own both the Lone Wolf & Eaglebeak sets and the former has been my main glam ever since I got it. I've never unsubscribed.

The ranked feast sets were advertised as exclusive and limited time only, and specifically because of that, I knew it was the only chance to earn the outfit I wanted
