If we're allowing more glamor versatility then we need way more dresser space

I'm ecstatic about the new glamor dresser, but there are items I've not bothered to add to my dresser because they don't go with anything in their class. And even with that my glamor dresser is full. Now we're getting so much more versatility, these items are going to get a second look by a lot of people. We need more glamor dresser space.

I'd go a step further: a glamour log. Every glamour you acquire is automatically saved in the dresser without any need for space or inventory management. And unlike the glamour sets, you can dye them forever with expensive dyes. If you also attach achievements to collecting different types or numbers of glamours, you essentially revive all content in the game.

This would also help with the inventory issue that this game has. More and more glamours and other items (the recent deep dungeon has at least 9 currencies plus the pilgrim's potions) keep being added but glamour, dyes and baits keep occupying space, and this is before we start talking about crafting materials. Where to even put them with such bloated inventories?

I fully agree. But I don't think we'll get that anytime soon unfortunately

I agree, they did state in the live letter right now their developers are working on the code to increase housing item limit and other housing stuff, once that's done they'd look at glamours and plates and open world activities, they said they have a priority system so I guess it's on their radar but their focus is on getting the housing stuff out first.

I'm desperately waiting for more "outfits" to condense down all the dungeon gear and such into more manageable storage. I don't want to have to clean out space and then have them finally get on with it once I no longer have the sets ready and waiting to convert.

I agree with OP, the more items they add to every expansion, the more dresser space we need. I'd like to bring some numbers to showcase how bad things can be for a collector like myself:

    - For relic weapons alone, you would need to allocate 487 slots to store each of their replicas (including paladin shields). This does not even account for the upcoming two phases of the current relics, which would add 44 more, bringing the total to 531.
    - Deep dungeon weapons now total 147, plus 7 shields.
    - The Monster Hunter collaboration introduced 21 weapons, plus 1 shield.
    - The Exquisite weapons from Criterion Savage have increased to a total of 22 in patch 7.0, plus 1 shield.
    - Lastly, weapons from Ultimate raids now total 126, with an additional 6 for shields.

Altogether, this amounts to 818 items, which exceeds the current glamour dresser space by 18 slots...

On a positive note, I want to emphasize that allowing every gearset to be stored as an "outfit" would significantly alleviate glamour space issues. Enabling us to store sets that are above level 1 is a feature that is sorely needed.

The outfit feature was introduced in patch 7.1 almost a year ago. Surely, the developers are working on enabling this feature for everything else as well, right?

    I support the #FFXIVHEALERSTRIKE
Dawntrail is doing too little too late for healers. We've put up with half a decade of agonizingly dull gameplay, and now we'll have to wait two more years for a possible fix. There's plenty of time to improve the healing role before then, so please don’t let us down again, CU3!

I don't think they should just add more dresser space. Don't get me wrong, I use every bit of it, and if they add more I'll use more. But I feel that's putting a band-aid on the problem. They need to completely re-work the way glams are stored, and find a way to make it effectively unlimited.

I don't know. Maybe it's time to stop hoarding. 800 items is plenty in my opinion.

As an omni-100 for combat classes, no, not really. I'm going to be able to clear out some items that were duplicates that I wanted to wear on separate classes, but it's very, very easy to cap out items at end-game.

In WoW and Wildstar I had well over 1000 pieces saved to my Transmog List/Holowardrobe respectively. This game needs a similar system.

Rather than spend time on more outfit glamours, i'd rather they make the collection tab a reality.
It is sorely needed, and would add hundreds of hours of gameplay collecting every armor/weapon in the game.
