A guy working alone without a salary did it and gave it to the masses eons ago. But the players who don't use those tools have to sit here, year after year, and beg SE to sell them that item. This community is insane, and this company is dumb as hell. If it were me running this thing, I'd be making so much effortless money, you have no idea. We'd be selling animation swaps for walking, animation swaps for running, job skill animation reskins, every npc emote you could think of, the whole nine yards. We'd hold a contest called "Will it Blend?" where we'd encourage players with experience in Blender to produce outfits, and their prize for first, second, and third place would be that the outfit is put into the game and named after them or something ridiculously low value like that. It wouldn't matter. They'd jump at the chance to literally make content for us for free if it meant people had to look at their name every time they wore it. And then do you know what I'd do with those outfits when they won? I'd sell them in the mogstation. And if any of the winners complained about not getting a cut, I'd point to the contract they agreed to when they handed over their entry that says they effectively lose all rights to the item. And then I'd hold another contest a month later, and people would still participate. That's how totally whipped this community is. They'll make content for you for free and then buy it back, I bet you it would happen. I bet you anything. We already have people designing hairstyles, weapons, furniture, christ -- where's the money going?
I don't even know where I'm going with this. When you guys ask them for stuff, maybe start by asking for it in the game first instead of proving my point for me and spreading your wallet open without making them even work for it.
