While I don't do this, I'm not obligated to wait for 200 other players from various worlds and data centers to show up if I took the time to spawn it. I should be allowed to kill my bounty without having to wait for a bunch of leeches to crawl out of the ground to nibble.

Waiting is just something the community decided. Back when hunts were first introduced, there was no world or data center travel and enemies were scaled for what an average server could handle. Unfortunately, like a lot of things in this game, new hunts were never adjusted for how the game as changed and now you end up with enemies that should be threatening but end up dying in 5 seconds as the whole region wants their paper-thin slice of the pie.

If it was up to me, I would make it so those from other servers do not get credit for defeating hunt marks. "But you need thousands of kills to get the achievements, server travel is required!!!!" some might say, but there's plenty of super grindy achievements already in the game, and they continue to add more. Just look at the 1000 carrots in OC or 30000 accursed hoard ones recently added.
