Polite request to review 24 man loot distribution

Just a polite request, can the format of how loot drops be changed to coffers, like savage, or a token system like normal modes (obviously not needing multiple per piece).

Having 2 drops per boss and 4 from the final is at this point, just awful, especially when additional copies of the same piece can drop. Depending on luck, you can run multiple instances and still not see a specific drop you're after. Bundling them into coffers, if you win it, guarantees you that slot for the job you open / trade it on.

If I don't get the drop I want, then I just don't loot for that week, to be honest. Not about to farm an alliance raid with odds like this.

We already have a token system for Normal Raids, and for Orchestrion Rolls from the raids. The normal raid system could be just copied completely for it, or let you loot 1 stackable coffer a week that you can redeem on a chosen job.

We already get coins, if they were restored for a clear of the old raids (mhachi farthing etc) and exchanged 1:1 for a piece of gear that could work. Current alliance gear might need a 5-10 ilvl bump for the current raids to feel worthwhile but you never know spell speed ninja could have a niche.

Edit: “current raids” was meant to be possessive relating to the gear and value for coin vs the more casual upgrade wheel. Then again just get some nuts, there’s usually a train on.

Considering the coins get retired rather arbitrarily at the end of the expac, I dont get why 1 coin cant be 1 glam item.

They're never even bis so who cares.

There is history of Alliance items being BIS. It's a by-expansion basis.

I get the secondary item is for upgrading to augmented on tome gear, but, there has to be a less painful solution to gearing alt jobs than praying to RNG ������*������

the only big issue is that ninja or dragoon loot drops or similar, when none of that job or the jobs that share the same gear is in group... and that has been a problem since ARR.

I like this idea, honestly. Considering the coins become completely useless and a waste of inventory space (which you are forced to receive) after you have no reason to trade for augmentation pieces, if you could trade them for gear then that'd be perfect. +1
