I think there is an easy answer. The devs hate Hrothgars, and only caved on female Hrothgals after they released male Viera.

That sadly makes a lot of sense. The colour tables are so off-putting that I'm sure they tried to indirectly keep people from embracing the race. What is that even, neon to mud colours on Helions and only green/blue on Lost? There aren't even any real big cat colours there. And the badly scaled shoulder and sleeve parts?

But still, I switched to Hrothgal and I love her so much. I love her abs and her broad shoulder and her muscles and the way she moves like a force of nature. I'm a little obsessed right now. So I pray to the Twelve that the devs are working on adjusting the older gear models as they give them new textures and second dyes, that they're working on the hairstyles, and that maybe one day we get more colour choices for all races.
