    Constant 90001 and 90002 errors on Ravana, Materia since patch 7.3

    Since 7.3 I've been getting constant 90001 or 90002 errors, about every hour or so, whilst playing on Ravana on Materia. I've scoured the forums already and followed all the advice you've given to every other person also getting this error and none of it has worked. I've opened the port ranges on my router, i've enabled all SSL and TLS except SSL 3.0, ive done a clean boot and flushed my DNS and changed it to 8.8.8.8 and 4.4.4.4 and none of it has worked.

    What does work is using a VPN and forcing it through specific nodes.

    This is a problem with your servers. This also happened with 7.21 as well but it was fixed eventually.

    We apologize for the delay in our response to your concern. As you have mentioned to have done troubleshooting prior to posting this thread, we would like to request for more information:

    Please provide:
    - Type of connection (wired or wireless)
    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any)
    - Frequency at which this error occurs
    - Does the disconnection happen to one character or multiple characters?

    If you have properly configured your router, and you are still experiencing these issues, our next suggestion is to bypass the router, and connect your console directly to your modem. Please ensure that you power down both the modem and the console for at least five minutes before attempting to connect to FINAL FANTASY XIV.

    If you continue to receive these same errors when you are connected directly to the modem, then the problem lies with your ISP. We would recommend contacting them and advising them that one or more of the ports previously provided to you are being blocked or filtered, and that you do need access on these ports.

    - Wired connection
    - Normally just discord and firefox but it occurs even if those are closed, and even if background programs like steam are shut down and not running at all.
    - happens every 45-60 minutes
    - Multiple Characters

    I play on PC and I'm directly connected to the modem with a Cat 6 Ethernet cable. There is no damage to the cable.
    I do not experience disconnections like this with any other game or service, it is only FFXIV.

    Adding to and watching this. I have been having the exact same issue under the exact same timing and circumstances. Sephirot, Materia since 7.3. Wired connection to a desktop PC, Firefox and steam in the background (or not, with no effect). Happens between 20 minutes to an hour or so with no consistency of in-game activity. It crashes in dungeons, cities etc. all the same. Using a VPN prevents the crashes. I only play on one character for testing purposes.

    I have contacted my ISP and they are unable to see any fault or issue on their end that would account for the problem.

    The constant DCs since 7.3 have really worn me down. It's so demoralising to log in, try and help people run msq, or do raid nights with my statics, just to get kicked out for minutes at a time. It's especially frustrating given it's blocking attempting necromancer runs of the newest Deep Dungeon.

    Numerous mods have posted this same copy/paste post on various threads and it doesn't inspire confidence. You know this is because of DDoS attacks. We know this is because of DDoS attacks. Had a match of Frontlines earlier. Lost half my team to DDoS and we won because the other two teams were hit even harder.

    I can only think of 2 reasoms why mods would keep posting this...

    1) SE doesn't know what is going on
    2) It's a feeble attempt to convince the playerbase that this isn't DDoS when we all know it's DDoS.

    Either way, it does not inspire confidence. Don't get me wrong. I am not trying to bust your balls, it's just that the playerbase would appreciate a more genuine dialogue about what is going on.

    our entire server gets DCd 3-4 times a day.... I dont think its an ISP issue. Then we have a massive queue when trying to log back in because the entire server just DCd. Its super weird SE hasnt mentioned anything about this. The game is completely unplayable if you plan on doing any sort of group content.
