OP giving more attention to his older threads than what they (SE) are with upkeeping older content. Lol..
idk why people make fun of reviving old threads when it's addressing the exact same issues we still have. Kinda proves the point.
anti-necro-culture is still the cringest part of forums. same old same old since like, the 2000s, lmao
Midcore is when you take a look at an Ultimate, nod along sagely to a guide and decide to do it when you get 12 months of uninterrupted vacation, which is to say: never.
It's so so hilarious to see the same things TitanMen has been complaining about are now the main complaints in 2025.
I pretty much only come to the forums for this now

Naw they kill every mobile game with garbage management and toxic monetization even by Zachary standards. Look at ffrk, ffbe, wotv, opera omnia and ff7 last soldier. Some of these had strong following early on until squares greed and incompetence ruined them before they could go long term. Ff14 and 11 bring in tons of money because subscription models are insanely lucrative.

I can't speak on other games listed, but Opera Omnia was surprisingly generous, from what I remember of it, and I've played for a pretty long time. If anything, it felt like it might have been a bit too generous. At the very least I don't remember a single friend who felt compelled to spend money pretty much ever in years of playing, because everything was easily obtainable for free with a little bit of grind.Naw they kill every mobile game with garbage management and toxic monetization even by Zachary standards. If I had to recall one FF gacha that felt like absolute cancer in terms of greedy monetization, it was Mobius.
FF17 will not work like FF14. People are not ready to just forfeir their characters, progress, items, houses, and jump into new MMO knowing that previous did not end well. Not a single soul believes that CBU3 is back to solely working on FF14. They're working on FF16 for PC and FF16 DLCs at the MINIMUM.
What else are you working on, CBU3? What are you not telling us? Are you hiding the fact that you're working on FF17, the next MMO, so that people will continue to have copium for FF14? Because that's what happened to 11.
Yoshi also mentioned that for FF14 they have progressed to expansion 10.0 but I don't see anyone mentioning it in any post.I mention CBU3 which is one division of the current 4 they have now. THe CB1 which is Kitase team is with FFVII remake and Kinfdom Hearts 4, the CB2 which I don´t know who lead is Dragon Quest stuff and Nier and Octopath /Bravely Default and that. The CBU3 with FFXIV FFXVI and FFXI. and the CBU4 which I think only handles remasters, ports and that.
Also, Yoshida mentioned he want to make a new IP totally new. So, that's a posibility. It is obvious they work in more things that they say, but a sevice game will still need content and support, so they work in that too at the same time.
And yet the Smart Devices division brought in almost as much in net profits in FY2026/Q1 as the MMORPG division. Apparently, they're doing something right.Naw they kill every mobile game with garbage management and toxic monetization even by Zachary standards.
