Feedback on SMN/SCH Phantom Umbrae glow stage

I give it a 1 out of 10 LOL the glow is disappointing and terrible. Wtf is that corner glow on the book? This stage was a letdown and I had to glam over it with Heavensward Mimesis Lux relic which I finally finished today soloing A9S (who even needs party of 8 for light farm?), EW second stage, mandervillous Index final stage and other crafted EX trial glowy weapons while some other job weapons looks good (or bad in people's opinion?) lmao. This is just my feedback and my own opinion. Idk . What are yall thoughts on these glows?

I don't mind them because they are a bit different, though it's hard to beat the wings on other relics. My personal favorite is still the early soft-glowing wings from Eureka (not Pyros which I find too glaring).

The SMN book itself is pretty nice. Scholar book's base...not a huge fan.

Books are probably the only weapon I can't really care about. There are some few cool ones, but most of them are just... whatever spikes or cumbersome ornaments as a cover.

They would be more desirable for me if the actual point of interest was some sort of effect jumping out of the book (like the mentioned wings) as the norm. Like, if Garuda's book had a ghostly representation of the primal popping over the open pages. Something more than just a glow.

I'm even surprised that we've been halfway through the expansion with the biggest futuristic theme yet and we haven't seen any book that is an actual digital display, smilar to the only example of this in ARR as the FF13 (Mogstation now) collab weapon. However that comes with the weird "bonus" of being a boomerang that somehow turns into a book.

I kinda like the understated glow of the SCH book at the Umbrae stage. My quibble is with the overwrought ornateness of the book itself.

I personally love the asymmetrical glow on SCH’s Codex. Now that is something we don’t have yet vs other glowy/relic weapons. I think it’s fantastically done.

My only complaint is the quill. It’s only there to serve as an ornament & not to be used lol.

Theyre all great, i prefer smaller glows.

Haven’t gotten mine yet but I’ve seen it… personally I’m just not a fan of the color. Ironically enough, Bahamut blue is the least used color in our relics and that’s what I’d prefer. We got one in Bozja, but I really didn’t like the physical design of that one. I do like the tiny dragon and the crescent moon dangle, so hopefully those will carry through the other stages.

I actually love this glow on most weapons. I have PLD and VPR so far and they're awesome. Some of my favorite relic glows. Looks like a solar flare. Not overpowering. My main issue is I'm not a fan of a lot of base weapon models like SGE is horrible.
