If you're so determined to just not experience the vast majority of the game why are you still around? There's plenty of games out there that are gameplay first and story second.

I want to go directly into savage without playing normal raid. I want it decoupled from clearing mainstory to unlock it, just have access to the region, the ilvl required and you are good. Be warned that there could be spoiler, but no normal player will have the level or gear for it anyway so easily. Mostly for alts and world first raiders and people who just want to raid and don't want to rush the mainstory.
Pretty sure XII was a story where you just guided the cast instead of being more active on your side. Especially since you had Vaan as a starting character who many felt disconnected from instead of being invested. And I believe that was the intention.

ff xii mentioned my day is saved

For varying reasons, some people dislike Vaan being more of an observer than the main character, and some dislike that to the extent that they will write off the story or the game in its entirety.I really don’t see it, felt really good to me and never slow paced at all. You can switch party members anytime you want and play with ATB to remove turn based, gambit also there to be probably best combat system, and the story never felt rushed or slow.
Either way I don’t see the connection with your argument about Vaan and how slow FFXIV is
Honestly I wasn't a fan of XII because of that. They made the players seem like vaan was the main protag when he really was just there along for the ride. Also there were times where he just completely spoke out of line that just made everyone question why they even brought him along.

If someone else tells them misinfo they might spread it because they don't know the truth. And it's not just gonna be used by players who weren't interested to begin with but also players who make snap judgements about the story.

I fear this would have the opposite effect. If people are given the options to skip everything to get to the battle content, then a lot of people will take that option and eventually they will put less effort into the story content.
