Nobody knows you and nobody cares if you enjoy or not the game.

The point of this post is they making a game specifically for one type of gamer, as an MMO, which is pretty bad.
This genre is well known for fitting every type of players, not only casuals. So it is surprising and wrong to read that apparently statement from FFXIV devs.

Not entirely sure where I said anything to the tone of "people know me and I enjoy/don't enjoy the game". I didn't state where I stand on the matter.

I simply don't think it's necessarily wrong for anyone who is content with the way things are to feel that way.

And interestingly, I've certainly seen arguments to the contrary of your claim - that the game isn't casual friendly. So I guess it really comes down to which side of the fence you're on.

I nowhere said the game isn't casual friendly, I said there's actual harder content everyone can play like Deep Dungeon, Eureka, Bozja. Doesn't change the fact, in terms of gameplay, it is extremely casual. Which is the point of this post. And no one said it is wrong for anyone to enjoy the game as it is right now, but you came out as you were targeted hiding behind some white knight attitude, while nobody is despising casuals, that is all.

Not really. I just think it's a classic case of 'can't please everyone'.
