    Tome Gear needs to change

    First off Why does the Tank and DPS share the same Looking gear? MAKES ZERO SENSE...
    Let the tanks look like tanks and dps look like dps..

    2nd They should change the way we upgrade our tome gear.. Lets get do outside activities in order to collect the items we need to upgrade. Maybe through Fates and questing. This would bring some life into the Open world....

    3rd, I feel like once we upgrade our tome gear they should become Purple instead of staying Blue... I know its minor but getting all purples in the slots, you'll get that feeling that you actually progressing your Character... Is this to much to ask for?

    Purple is only for relic weapons, which remain (mostly) difficult to get even after current expansion unlike augmented tome gear. Plus if they made tome gear purple, they'd also have to make raid gear purple since it's equal in item level and harder to get. If everything is purple, then purple no longer means much.

    Relic weapons should stay uniquely purple as it denotes a special kind of weapon.

    An argument could be made for Savage raid weapons and Ultimate Weapons, but they should then have their own unique colours.

    Also, only Fending and Maiming gear look similar, Striking and Scouting are different to Fending.

    There are other colours available besides purple.

    In this game currently, lack of gear blocks you from content. In a game where I and pretty much everyone I knew has left the game, and so will never come back as regular subscriber because the social network we non-skipper casuals spent YEARS of catching up 5 expansions, getting to know, has left, because they were sooo bored with nothing to do but get poorer via their sub this game cannot afford to further block progressing through content behind content that is not part of that difficulty progression.

    You can't have increased rarity gear that doesn't provide stats. You can't have stats on gear without it now becoming part of the difficulty progression.
    • Dungeons and trials should gear for Normal raids. - no gating
    • Normal raids should gear for extremes and savage. - no gating
    • Savage should gear for Ultimates and NOW you can gate if you want

    If you want people to rerun content give them cool rewards that don't hate content.
    Eg you know a mount for normal raids should not be out of the question.
    Maybe someone doing savage should NOT expect to have enough time to grind the normal mount until it becomes boosted at old expansion.

    Outerworld zones currently offer rewards.
    They are just not fun.
    You also can't organise except his f discords.
    There needs to be a way in game if knowing if a big boss is coming, like for odin. It can't always be weather based off course.

    (back for the free 4 days. M1, M2, M3 were great. Monster hunter normal trial was amazing. But until X-DC PF is implemented and the casual game is invested in, there is no point in making new social contacts that will leave again, so while I've had fun re-running instances until I've got one piece of gear, I'm done after a day, and I've no reason to sub for even a full week.)

    tome gear should just be uncapped IDK why they thought it was a good idea to cap it at 450 a week if people want to no life you game let them,

    and tbh you should be able to buy the upgrades to tome gear with tomes make it a sink for tomes.

    the tokens from alliance should be to upgrade not only the alliance gear but the raid gear to be up to not only tome gear but savage raid gear there should be multiple ways to get max Ilv and more debate on what is BiS instead of savage gear and upgraded tome gear.

    deep dungeon variant dungeon should also offer BiS gear make it happen let people play your game Square.

    I can accept them capped for some endgame reasons in patches when its new and savage is new but in .1, .3, .5 they should be uncapped. In a game with a idea of all jobs on one character it's pretty hard to play all jobs when you can't have high enough gear and people put a ilvl limit for farming old content high enough that you either join in as your savage job (provided you raid) or whoever you focused on with tomes gear

    tbf that would be cool but i can already sense some savage raiders being upset a person who just happen to play on a job where only tomes + alliance raid can get a bis (bonus points if it's that rare case where tomes weapon is better than raid, i think that was the case for back in eden raids for some healer)

    They don't. It's specifically tanks and melee DPS that tend to look similar. Because both are in melee range. Non-tanks tend to have a few less features at least, or a weaker and more agile material or a less bulky material despite the similar look.

    The rest are ranged or very agile like Ninja and Viper so they let them dress more casually.

    This is already the case. In the odd-numbered patches (7.1, 7.3, 7.5) we can go and fight hunts in the open world, then spend the dropped currency on tomestone augments. This is a very popular activity, and in every expansion people have used it to augment their tomestone gear - especially non-raiders and people that want to augment alt jobs.

    Nah he is actually right, Maiming and Fending (Dragoon, Reaper and Tanks look 99% of the time 1-1 the same besides the color)
