Request for Czech translation / AI translation support

Hello,

I have been playing Final Fantasy XIV and I really enjoy the game. However, for many players in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the language barrier makes it difficult to fully experience the story and lore.

I would like to kindly ask if Square Enix has any plans to add Czech localization in the future, or at least an option for an AI-assisted translation in real time. Even a basic machine translation would help many players to understand quests, dialogue, and enjoy the world of Eorzea more.

Thank you for considering this request. I believe it would make the game more accessible for a wider audience.

I'm sorry, but the playerbase in either country is most likely so minuscule that they can never justify making localization for them. Also, you had years of English at school, we all did. You have the internet. Literally nothing is stopping you from improving your English.

Really no reason to be an ass about it. Asking for additional languages is not an unreasonable ask even if the chances of it in this case are unlikely (e.g. Spanish has a higher chance before Czech). Literally nothing is stopping you from just letting the request be.

My reason is that I am Czech and I know that people here have 6+ years of English in school, yet barely anyone speaks the language worth a damn. Why? Because the broad attitude is that speaking English is not important, everything is always translated for you eventually. Not everyone will reach native-like fluency but learning to understand the language is not hard, you just have to try, just a little, instead of expecting everything to be dubbed and/or subtitled for you.

To counterpoint, we already have issues with people joining up for duties while not understanding how game works and not speaking common languages (I have only english marked and still meet them). There is a reason on EU we have the meme of "F debuff" for French that dont speak english at all and underperform. (To be clear, there are absolutely cracked french player that i know, however its just hard to ignore when you roll into a stanceless marauder that doesnt reply to anything and only says "merci" after getting carried through the whole dungeon).

Same reason why i dont really push for my own nationality localisation (Polish), despite having a not negligable player count. The ability to speak a foreign language is a sort of filter, while its not the most refined, it definately makes the experience of everyone involved better.
