Demiatma drop rates are unacceptable

It's pretty rough. There were multiple times I reached max shared fate farming for 2 zones before I saw ONE. Rng can suck.

But as something we have to only do once I think its okay.

Even with the grind I hope the next steps aren't just - turn in tomes and boom.

I've grinded for several relics in the past, and while there was a grind I never felt like I was truly wasting my time. It's different this time around. Maybe I just got lucky in the past.

I don't see a world where SE tested how it "Feels" to grind demiatma. I've spent roughly 7 hours grinding fates between zones and have gotten ZERO drops. My time is too valuable for this shit.

You clearly were not around for the REAL atma relic grind then.
Spend a couple weeks grinding fates for a single atma. then come to the forums and complain.

That is the dumbest logic I have ever seen. I did the 2.0 atma grind. Over a week my friend finished 3 weapons and I still had 2. I uninstalled the game and quit for months until I got over how fucking awful that felt and I didn't resume that dogshit snake feces content until they buffed the drops and even then it still sucked.

This isn't content. This is busy work. I can do more productive busy work in real life. All this is going to do is add me to that declining player base because the developers are too ignorant to find a middle ground between too easy and too hard. This isn't even too hard. It's too boring.

It was an exaggeration, but that's how it felt. It was probably closer to two, but you don't understand how lucky my friend was. He'd of been done with this bullshit like day 2. I just remember he was getting them like candy and moving onto the next zone and I was stuck in the same zone my third Atma for a long long time.

Either way, it was fucking dogshit. Just like this. It's a boring ass zone that's go go go go while a slot machine decides your progress.

There's a reason I'm stuck at 6 sure, but it's because this dogshit is about as fun as laying down in the middle of a busy street. This isn't content. You can white knight all you want, but this isn't content.

Just to clarify Occult Crescent is content. The RNG is what I meant.

Idk whats going on with this thread, but I think SE should consider making the atma grind required once per job instead of just once overall. Relics are much more fun to grind when I have to earn them.

This is awful. It wouldn't be if I didn't feel like I was absolutely wasting my time doing it.

To all the people who hated the Endwalker process, I hate you with every fiber of my being. A bucket of fish heads for all of you.

They finally nailed the process in Endwalker, but failed by repeating it. This new system so far has been worse than ARR. Probably because you need more and there's only 6 zones instead of 12 and OC is tied into it. OC has better rates, but that place is a miserable hellhole of gimmicks and terrible game design.

Fix the drop rates! If the next step is more grindy bullshit I'm done. Like no more subscription money go kick rocks.

How would they make it faster exactly? Your post doesn't make any sense to me.
Or are you saying they should suffer more just to prove that they're very supportive or something? That sounds somewhat entitled if that's a thing you'd expect friends to do for you.

Unless I misunderstood, what he meant was likely "a friend would have continued to run FATEs with you until you were done, because one can assume you'd do the same for them if the roles were reversed". My friend group operates the same way.
By running with you, their DPS contributes to the FATE being over quicker, so if they leave you behind not only it sucks because you have to finish farming alone but on top of that it'll be slower too... when my friend needed his last green demiatma, I kept my map open and kept an eye out for any FATEs or CEs that dropped the one he needed, and would taxi us there until he was able to get them all. I know he would have done the same for me.



EDIT: They're also not "suffering" for free, mind you... they still get rewards for participating in a FATE or CE, in or out of Occult Crescent. But I've also farmed duties and FATEs I need nothing from just to help. My friends have done the same for me, because hanging out is also a reward in its own way. I'm not saying your friend must suffer for you, but I am saying it's not a particularly strange thing to see. What the user you're responding to said is nothing odd from my perspective.
