The irony, guess no one is cancelling their sub if they want to keep their house regardless of the game. I do wonder whether WoW would also have the ability to turn off auto-demo; or this is case removal, for a period of time if there are natural disasters and whatnot...Surprising nobody, Blizzard have already said they'll remove houses from inactive accounts.

That depends on how long this inactivity is... If it's years, then I think it's not as bad as in XIV. But also, since there's no such thing as a lottery, even if their system have this caveat, it's still far ahead.Surprising nobody, Blizzard have already said they'll remove houses from inactive accounts.

My problem in XIV is not even the auto demolition, but because you can't have a house again right as you return. The expensive amount of gil to get it is secondary but also an annoyance.

And there it is. The catch.Surprising nobody, Blizzard have already said they'll remove houses from inactive accounts.

This is misleading. This isn't demolishing your actual house, just removing it from the neighborhood. Also, WoW does not have a limit on housing, so you can just move your house back to a neighborhood (or the previous one) when you are active again.Surprising nobody, Blizzard have already said they'll remove houses from inactive accounts.

Edit: And if it wasn't clear, you don't not lose the configuration of your house. Your house design is saved.

Surprising nobody, a FFXIV player and living extension of Yoshida employs deception to make everyone believe that their game is the very best and that Blizzard is evil incarnate.Surprising nobody, Blizzard have already said they'll remove houses from inactive accounts.

Misleading. They say they'll consider removing your house from public neighbourhoods if inactive for a long time. Given how blizzard does things we're likely talking multiple expansions of pure inactivity, like character names. But either way you aren't losing your house, just its plot, which aren't finite so it doesn't really matter. The interview is also very loose about it and its obvious it isn't a decided upon measure at all. Try again.Surprising nobody, Blizzard have already said they'll remove houses from inactive accounts.
