The post was not about purging "other political views" from public office. It explicitly said confederates. Who historically, and if I remember one thing about American history it's this, preferred white people a lot more than PoC.

I think the way this post talks about 'Confederates' is more about smearing and exaggerating conservative opponents than accurately addressing historical context. It seems designed to make certain groups look extreme rather than fostering understanding or nuance.
