It is as illegal as that mare thing, Yoshi P. Clearly stated that in solid capital letters multiple times, there IS no grey area regarding all this.

You don't need those numbers for everything, not even high end content, you are putting yourself in the mare bubble stating that it is needed, as it is not... most people probably use it for that cactbot thing and especially high content players.

It is a crutch, not a tool, if the boss is dying or not is what matters, if not, you need to try harder and do a better job, it is as simple as that.

If parsing did not exist at all, people would still do ultimates, savage, extreme trials and so on and so forth.

but how do you see then that one person isnt doing their part of the dps lmao, without parsing (not that i've ever done it) the raiding scene would be dead pretty quickly

If you know the game decent enough, you can see who is not cutting the deal and you know it, you don't even need anything to feel that out either, it is just watching, because what you are suggesting is actually rather disgusting.

And nope... we had MMOs and the likes before Parsing was a thing and people managed to do the content and get through it actually ending on winning as well, no matter what you need to be at the decent end of the game to do this content and practise as well, both as the class/job going as, as well as getting the experience in where to go, and by that repeated attempts until success and eventually you will manage it, on long term you would get a much better pool of players, some may be a bit slower learners, but often getting the experience in... also often make those people extremely valuable assets.

What you are saying right there... is you are dependent on parsing tools and cactbot as much as some people has been it with Mare... and that is the problem, and not only for yourself and those you play with but the community in general as well, gatekeeping is a major problem and thing in FFXIV and it is not doing anything good at all.
