It WAS a great game it just doesn't work now and if anything 1.0 showed us that, as it was a poor mans version of 11 but with better graphics, less content and no story (on release)
Surecast is a knockback immunity its gonna be set in stone as long raiding is this game. all classes including dps should be granted a way to stop knock back in its tracks its always gonna be apart of them game. enhancing it well. sure. how would we do that lower the cool-down make next ability you have while under sure cast a direct hit or critical. however healer role skills are somewhat best in the game. when really think about it. they all have use (if only healers actually used esuna like they should) anyway I egress. there other jobs role skills that make no complete sense.
I feel for ranged dps players. they have the worst role skills in the game. they have constantly press movement speed button between pulls (watch should be a toggle shouldnt have keep pressing it over and over) ranged dps really cant kite mobs in this game cause aggro range. normally these ranged support support role skill wouldnt if that wasn't the case. not mention the amount dev team puts into balancing them its like every patch there is increase or decrease. i would say without a doubt it ranged dps right now that is suffering the most. who needs most work out anyone
Reason I bring up word "Kite Mobs" is because those role skills where decide specifically to kite. and they fail to do so
but as whole role skills not but touched adjusted , for so long we only started getting job traits fix these issues. you think we get more role skills but they cap at below 50.
ff11 was amazing game you understand it was first mmo of final fantasy. it had such an impact on future games like this one it was one best things ever happened to gaming was released during PlayStation 2 life cycle. was the one first every bring mmo to a concole 14 would not exist if 11 wasn't as poplular as it is. you try it. think they do deal now if you play 14 sub cost is reduced for both something like that
everything we have now was thanks to that game. if do play 11 do give benefit of the doubt its an older game, so runs little slower then ff14 every final fantasy game has important part of history and is apart of creation of 14. unless your hardcore final fantasy fan. you miss it when play 14 watch is fine.
not references and nods to older games in this game that they took from older games to create 14 in way final fantasy 14 is theme park for players enjoy final fantasy series
also ff11 is known have hardiest super boss in history of final fantasy series absolute virtue. watch if anyone remembers that run will tell you nothing compares how hard that fight was
If people are hardcore final fantasy fan like myself people can understand little bit why it made people so mad when summoner was first released its earned dev team nothing but rage sense its release. that removing protect or stoneskin aero III change at first didnt end well
but also say this healers complain about there 1 button roulette if ever played white mage in ff11 you understand main sourse of damage was your melee auto attacks build up tp or use banish. dia had heavy cooldown so most time autoattacks and status effects i have give it 14 on this one . however removal of status effects did also leave bad taste in my mouth
really hard to say what white mage is better 14s or 11

Its old a game cant expect it play like ff14 wouldnt be fair best way judge it is time was released. understandable not for everyoneMy only experience with FF11 was back about a year after it launched where everything fell apart trying to get anything done once I reached Jeuno, and then quit shortly afterwards.
I've been told it's radically changed since the days where you needed to LFG for hours to get 10 minutes of content done, but I'm not inclined to play an "old school" MMO where the first major battle will be with the UI and controls, lol.
