This is a total non-issue since SE already does implement exclusive content in the Korean and Chinese version. That's the reason why we have so many Asian inspired gearsets in the Mogstation. It's their event rewards later added for us.

But knowing how petty Nintendo can be, imagine if they did do a Switch 2 version of FF14 and only the Switch 2 version got a collab with Super Mario RPG ?
I'm basing this off of the that car soccer game where they only wanted nintendo related skins to show on their platform, and something something surface level about minecraft.

from what I understand the Switch 2 is equal to the PS4 Pro in terms of processing power, it won't be as good as a PS5, but it shouldn't have any issues running FF14.

For the record, PS4 Slim can still run FFXIV just fine. The loading screens on average take longer and sometimes there's t-posing and framedrops in crowded areas like limsa but the vast, vast majority of content is perfectly playable and runs smoothly. Only place I've actually had an issue is 72-man PvP, but PCs regularly struggle there as well.

Meh. Version-exclusive purchase bonuses like minions, gear, or mounts aren't too much of a compromise. I'm not a fan either but we've already got nier glams running rampant as a permanent addition to the game, plus limited events like fall guys. I just hope they don't phone it in and slap mario on a tshirt - sorry, neo tunic.

The Switch 2 can barely even measure up against a PS4 and they've already said PS4 support will not last forever because it holds the game back much like the PS3 did. I vote no to this, personally.
