If 8.0 has no new jobs and no higher-level cap I sure won't buy it unless it's free.
i wouldnt say that there other things they can do leveling isnt only opinion they have give us. master levels or merit points was alot of fun adding player customization in 11 master levels massively increased your overall stats per level. sure your level 100 but your like level 100 + 50 . they have fine polish alot of stuff in this game if they dont the game will die. if continue same thing they done every expansion. they have try new things they have polish this game cause its collecting rust
in 11 master levels were not same cause you can only gain points specific way.

Honestly, I'd be okay with this. Plenty of expansions have just... not released classes/races/level limits in other MMOs, it's bizarre as hell XIV is expected to do all of it. With the state of the game I'd rather they not do ANY of that, give us MSQ/dungeons/fights, and rework the jobs all top to bottom. Tanks/healers/phys ranged/nin especially need a lot of work.

This is something i will definitely not believe. At best only machinist gets a rework, and whm gets some more/improved ogcd options. Sch is highly popular and reliable in savage, indicating it doesnt need any rework. Only a QoL feature on the fairy (auto-summon) is welcome to streamline it. The rest just works. Whm is outclassed by ast, because ast can do more. Healing is mostly meaningless, and since most abilities do already rely on that, whm needs something to break this curse. It might be as simple that the heal charges now can also be used as ogcd damage casts (just like sch has), this would be a huge boost already and not even change a lot.
Machinist is currently a mess because it needs a raid buff in order to compete:
Its competing with 2 very strong buffers, and not having any means either a superior damage dealing capability which would then break black mage in balance (as you then would suddenly be dealing like 50% more damage than a blm), or methods to aid others: so a raidbuff. Once it has one, then things can change a lot. Because while 10% might not sound like a lot, spreaded acros teammates, thats still 70% on its own, and when combined can easily add double your own damage. THat is the curse mch needs to get rid of. Thats all it needs, the burst rotation while awkward still works fine enough, and the kit as it is works, its a popular enough job in lower difficulty content which indicates its main design is just fun and good.
My prediction for MCH is that they'll just consolidate Double Check and Checkmate, get rid of the battery gauge and turn Queen into a 60s CD, and attach a generic offensive raid buff to it. The fact that they've done so little for so long despite the job being in such a shit place doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.This is something i will definitely not believe. My take is that they should not add more or higher level caps, keep the stuff we got, and add to it, no more new jobs, I mean the Dev Staff is small... and it only get smaller every time they need to add in and focus and balance 2-3 new jobs... with the current one....
Go more for like the Make Final Fantasy 14 great again but in an ANTI 'Rump' fashion.
