I empathize with you, heres a few tips

    1) Turn off all effects in settings. Turn on eye protection for your monior/tv to remove blue light. Turn down brightness a bit and turn contrast up a lot.

    2) Stop using duty support and start playing with real people, 99% of people wont make you feel bad and most will help you. Just tell them at start of duty you have mobility issues so will be slower. Humans are much more likely to keep the duty going if you die meaning it wont take you loads of tries. Even better now that everyone should have phoenix downs for rezzing.

    3) Most mechanics have tells before they happen, usually a good few seconds before, learn the tells and you can complete most mechanics this way. Tells can be cast names, boss movements etc.

There are people who are jealous that it takes you many attempts, I'm one of them. I like content to last and actually be challenging. Careful what you wish for. Clearing content easily for a long time will get boring af for most.

The dev team can't design the game for every minority, but I don't know why they can't add an "easy af mode" for duty support. Such as reducing damage of everything in the dungeon by half would be enough. So you can get hit many more times.

There are certain games i cant play because of motion sickness, so i don't. Its an MMO and it needs to be designed for the majority, not the minority. We are all doing the same content and a lot of times, we do it in groups together. How do you propose that fix your issues without ruining it for others?

I think the "vast vast vast majority" of players are quite capable of playing the game as it is. But there's also a decent population of older and disabled players who struggle.
Ok out of curiosity why is Disability coming up more this expansion than it ever has done in it's whole lifespan? from someone who plays with cramping hands and Ulnar nerve entrapment. Graphic upgrade aside (eye strain) every "disability" excuse seems to come out since the difficulty was raised.

A lot of these complaints would magically be ‘solved’ if people had a VFX setting akin to the player effect ones but for arena & boss VFX. Also if they give people the ability to toggle bloom back off, which was removed in the DT graphics update – I know that’s a huge one that’s causing so many issues for people.

‘Hiding’ mechanic tells behind perpetual flashbangs isn’t difficulty, it’s fake difficulty that disproportionately affects specific people more than others – which is why some people feel no difference at all, and others feel like they’ve suddenly been dropped into the highest tier of difficulty the game has.

I only have extremely minor vision issues (that aren’t even relevant due to having up-to-date glasses), and while I occasionally get overstimulated from VFX in an array of other games, nothing has compared to the visual clusterf**k of DT – and I play GW2 with full player effects on, for comparison.

Yes that's why I excluded visual complaints because a lot of that came up with the graphical changes.

I'm curious: What's a good example of the boss's own flashbangs hiding their tells?

I understand that party effects can hide the boss, and thus their tells, but that's been a problem for multiple expansions, now.

The ONLY one I can think of is M8S during the millennial decay. The twister AOEs block the view of the spinning line AOE. This is savage though.

That's actually a good question, and I'd need to go through some of the DT instances to double-check my hypothesis here, but: I don't think it's necessarily directly hiding them, so much as people's eyes being perpetually drawn to all the crap on their screen (because boy, is there a lot of it). Which, yeah incorrect wording on my part if that's more of the case, but I am actually curious now if there's anything that outright hides itself - I have an alt that's making their way through DT and I may run a few of the dungeons when I get some free time to double check. But it is very likely more an issue of things going off in the background like equivalent of a naked man streaking across the field and drawing people's eyes away from the actually important thing going on - which is definitely still minimum-effort "difficulty modifier" nonsense.

I also have to run limited player effects at all times so I can see the Good Puddles™ since I'm usually running tank, which can occasionally obscure things - but I think most people are running like that.

DT is when I started to keep visual effects off. I used to only do it during large-scale content like Bozja, but now I can't even turn them on during 4-player content.

Every time they add a new ability or replace an old one, it has to be more visually impressive than previous ones and it has now reached a point where you can hardly see anything. Turn all that off and it becomes much easier to see what the boss is about to do.
