The viera hat issue is pretty ridiculous

Regarding the DQX hats; they finally gave Viera and Hrothgar the King Slime Crown, but Viera still can't use the Thug's Mug.

Though it replaces the whole head it has ear flaps for Miqo'te, Lalafell and Elezen. Maybe they intend to give Viera ear flaps too?

It's just another one of those sloppy fixes where half is fixed, half not, half is bandaid with hiding ears,etc. It's all to impress small bits of community.

The ear hiding is weird. There is an aiming hat from the nier raids I like a lot, it's a ronin samurai style hat. The top is flat. And they removed the ears from it. Makes zero sense. Whoever was in charge of these have zero imagination when it comes to viera. There are so many options. And they choose to treat the race like they have removable ears. They're not viera at that point. And even if you choose to remove the ears yourself the look, to me at least, will always be lacking.

Nah because we don't even have all of them, and why is it taking 4+ years to even get all the hats in the first place, Idk what crackhead at Creative Budget 3 was like "yeah, seems like a lot of effort, let's just not do it" but this trend of them doing start-up projects/systems and then trying to avoid ever finishing them is rather tiresome.

The ears just clip through the items... no holes or any kind of ear-friendly adaptation like changing the position of the hat.

Where exactly is the lengthy/cost intensive work? Just manually checking every hat to see if there's not any kind of drastic clipping to exclude it from the list? (which seems to happen to the Neo Ishgardian top hat, one of my favorites, given it's not usable).

Yeah, there is no reason they couldn't have done that 6 years ago. People were literally begging for exactly that. All this waiting made people think actual work was being done.
