Petition to fix Miqo'te Face 2 Eyebrows

Trying again with a new Bug Report. This one is focused on just the texture map error that made the brows thin and dark, to hopefully increase the chances that they'll see it's clearly an error and do something about it.


In that one I included some colored outlines of the eyebrow shape to really show the extreme changes that it went through.

I've rembered I've made a comparison too with like EW, benchmark 1.0 and 1.1 (current style) where we can also clearly see that they changed the eyebrows twice: at the first benchmark AND the pinched front at the 2nd benchmark..

Like I didn't even like the first change at all... but that second one made it a catastrophy..

What I'm actually afraid of is that their art team is actually very satisfied with their new changes, that they were made on purpose and that they like it better that way, and that's why nothing is done to address this, because "working as intended".

I wouldn't put it past them.

Trying again with a new Bug Report.

So unfortunately this one got put into "Duplicate Bugs". I don't know how it would qualify for that when it is different from the last one in the forums made back in November, and there's a clear issue that still isn't fixed.

I tried contacting the official site's Webchat Support to check that again and express our urgent request (there is a dropdown option of "Official Forums" that can be selected), but was essentially told "Square Enix support can only assist with account and technical issues."

They told me to get in touch with a Game Master using the in-game support desk, so I've filed a ticket for that. I don't know how long it'll take for a reply (hopefully they don't ignore it), but will update when I get one. I'll keep contesting that this is an error that needs to be addressed, and there's community backing that demands it.


Others are welcome to try too, if you may get different results than I have so far. Official Site's support chat here, there are options for email, chat, and phone support.

Or requesting a GM's help in in-game support is /supportdesk -> type into search bar "How do I contact a Game Master?" -> scroll down and select that same question -> file report.

Anyone checked the japanese forums yet? Would be interested to know if there is any discourse about this over there. I couldn't imagine there isn't, but i sure can't find it through translate.

I also wrote support and both options ingame. Being in EU i have actually no option to directly contact a GM. So that's cool.
Would love to stay in contact over this for quick info exchange if something new comes up. Also i'm not always subbed but still trying to contact Square.
On a certain app for discourse one could look up tooling way without the space.

I spoke to a GM, but didn't make much headway.
They said that because the original report on the topic was marked "working as intended," follow up reports got marked as "duplicate."
They didn't give a clear response to the concern that it was a genuine error and marked incorrectly.
When asked if they could reconsider its placement, they said that is up to the Devs to decide, and they are only a GM.
When asked if they could forward it to be looked at again, they said they cannot, because it was deemed duplicate.
They said several times throughout the conversation that it is good to post feedback on the forums so it can reach the correct teams.
When a link to this petition was shared with them, they said it is fantastic that the community is placing so much thought and effort into this, and a good use of the forums.
A summary message after they left said regarding feedback in the forums: Although individual responses are not sent, please rest assured that all comments are submitted to the appropriate parties so they can be read and considered for future updates.


I'll take that with a grain of salt unless we get a direct reply of acknowledgment, or see the requested changes in-game.

Well they can say all they want to sound nice, but I still see no dev acknowledgement of the problem whatsoever, and it's not like this thread is a needle in a haystack either.
Time to spamm this thread every day to keep it on the front page I guess? If that's what it takes?

That's... frustrating.. but I was kinda expecting it to be..

I don't even know if it would be Overall better to have a thread for issues like that in general (like for others drastic face changes as well) or to just keep bumping this one instead.

I can remember the huge backlash when the benchmarks came out.. and that really seemed to help a bit.

But I believe, since the final launch and the relieve that the characters looked so much better than in the benchmark (simply due to lighting settings etc), I believe that kept a lot of people quiet and kinda "accepting" it bc it could've been worse?

Tbh I miss so much more features my Miqo had back in EW (such as Eyes 6 had a more cateyes-look bc of the outer lift, or even the lips.. or the now heaver forehead clanmarks)..
But at least the eyebrows q_q please...
I mean I am kinda lucky that my fav hairstyle has a fridge/bangs .. but since DT she just looks so annoyed..

Maybe we can create a fellowship ingame to collect other frustrated Face 2/102 Miqo'te to get them to see this forum too?
