But casual content isn’t dance memorisation, it’s reading visual cues- It is mandatory for the story because devs know that there isn't big content of MSQ, so some gatekeeping to not allow you to progress fast is key here in their doing, e.g. game sin.
- As for the people who say "git gud" this would be acceptable if we didn't have same mechanics over and over that involve memorizing 1000 patterns and where is the safe spot. This isn't anything new, this is same old crap that they place in. "Memorize where your safe spot is after every 2nd / 4th boss ability, then know what to do every single time when same mechanic occurs. If your brain is sleepy and your memory is poor, tough luck!".
I like hard content but ffxiv does it quite the opposite where hard comes from "please remember how to dance here as there are 100 patterns". This isn't fun, others done it better.
You can definitely say savage is dance memorisation but casual content is just responding to tells

As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
Posts multiple paragraphs about how Dawntrail was immature and tropey.
"If you just try hard enough you can achieve all your heart's desires."

What boss attacks in this dungeon have to be memorized?- It is mandatory for the story because devs know that there isn't big content of MSQ, so some gatekeeping to not allow you to progress fast is key here in their doing, e.g. game sin.

All the boss mechanics in this dungeon are just visual cues to react to. You have to use your eyes to see where to go for all of them. And yet, I think you could still memorize them, because while there are a few different patterns for them I don't think the bosses do them in random order (at least unless they live long enough to start repeating mechs).

The issue is that some people have to actually try and fail to defeat the boss and they just want to RP through all content
Too bad you couldn't learn to have a shred of compassion for others.
Yeah I do use everything at my disposal to be able to have fun. That's generally what adaption is... That bit about working around the world...

Video games by nature have a fail state and if you can't handle that seriously go do something else. Second life is right there but things dont need to be dumbed down because you are stubborn and refuse to learn or try
I am trying? You don't get to define trying. Simple as.
