i remember those days in the forums, so many were against it too. oh well here we are.Personally, I'd rather everything be obtained in-game, and once upon a time, it was like that.
Unfortunately, the playerbase wasn't happy with that.
Back in 2013~2014 people were begging day-in and day-out, on these very forums, for a cash shop, so they could spend real money to buy in-game stuff.
Yoshi-P granted the community's wish, and here we are.
I don't know why this would surprise anyone. If anything, I'd be more surprised if they didn't release anything on the mogstore every few weeks.
yeah the playerbase asked for it. true... the very same people who want the opposite now.
every single person inside the community wanted it. they wanted a cash shop and also easier jobs... and the community still consists to 100% of these people. true true.
and also... how terrible to change your mind after all these years.

This will probably come as a shocker, but more than a vast majority of players who are around today were not playing in 2013/14. Very very few were. This is greed and nothing morePersonally, I'd rather everything be obtained in-game, and once upon a time, it was like that.

We specifically asked for it as a means to obtain old event items, and those are actually very reasonably priced for the most part.
I don't know anyone who asked for $24 mounts.
people asked for a cash shop because of old event items? really? wouldnt be the first and only thought to sell it ingame each year? maybe even as a gil sink?
without fun jobs none of the content is fun
It is pricey but at least it's not the travesty that are glam pricing when it's accountwide which all purchases should be.
Meow Mansion - Rinoa's personal mansion located in Exodus LB W28 P28
Mihgo Manor - Minaa's personal mansion located in Seraph Shiro W14 P60
Cant wait for them to add the upcoming FFT glams as coffers for the Ivalice raids![]()

I mean, that's what some of y'all were being specific about, sure. But it quickly became about more than that.
Others were also asking for a "namingway" which became our name change service, fantasias, gear that NPCs were wearing that we didn't have access to, and etc. People don't need to ask for "$24 mounts" for the MTX train to go off the rails and get there. Especially if you have willing spenders.
You can buy that stuff at the recompense officer if you have the achievement, but yeah, if you missed an event, you were SOL when it came to old stuff.

Why should we have been asking for that? Past event items were sold at a vendor for a few Gil when the event came around the next time.
And I quote: "Players can also speak with the Moonfire Faire vendor in each of the three city-states to purchase items available during previous iterations of the event."

I also got all the 1.0 event items for free in 2013 - 2014. For halloween 2014 the cash shop went up and we had to buy previous event items.
It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.
