7.3 cliff hanger (spoilers, obviously)

So they start off their next 10 year saga by pulling an Asahi 2.0: Annoying rat face kid turns up, annoys us for a while, finally gets disposed off.
Then comes back to pester us for 2 patches and another half xpac, of course somehow in league with the Ascians. Sheesh.

Ok, I got it. Compelling adversaries with a history and a reason behind their actions are no longer an option - too costly to write, I assume. But if you insist on sending an army of sunday morning cartoon villains against us, can you at least be so kind to keep them dead once we're done with them? There is absolutely nothing about Calyx that warrants an encore.

If this is what expects us in 7.4, I'm so done with this game. They should use AI to write their story, it also does an endless copy/paste of old stuff, but usually way better than what SE writers can come up with these days.

I am convinced, now more than ever, that 8.0 is 100% going to be Shadowbringers - the Sequel. We are going to use a key, hop to another shard, and SE can avoid building out the rest of the Eorzea map by having us in all new zones somewhere else.

It's a marginal improvement over 7.0, just like 7.2 was. And honestly, I only half-heartedly say that because of how painfully predictable most all of it was. Including the final boss and the post-credits.

Is it better than 7.0? Sure. It's not enough to redeem Dawntrail, sorry. (copy-pasted from the other thread)

Well, ya'll have been violently hateful towards the new characters they introduced in Dawntrail, so of course they are just abandon the idea of introducing new characters for you to be violently hateful towards and go back to "it was Ascians All Along".
