I don’t find it difficult or think it can’t be done I just personally don’t see why they continue to add it as a requirementI genuinely don't understand what is so difficult about this requirement. I've done it multiple times, both with friends and with randoms in PF. You can even do it alone if you like a challenge. It's seriously not much more time consuming or difficult than the majority of other content, you only have to do it once and it'll give you access to all the future DDs, because the requirement is always the same.
Like imagine if OC said “just do anemos to unlock this”
It just doesn’t need to exist so to speak even if it’s inoffensive
As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I guess you're right. The requirements for Anemos and PotD are very different, though. Palace just requires you to finish Copperbell Mines and be lvl17 and you can enter. Anemos wants you to finish MSQ all the way up to Stormblood and be lvl70 to enter. I understand the analogy, but PotD's requirements are a one-time thing and the requirements are so low that if you simply exist in ARR, you can do 50 floors of Palace.
So backtracking to do PotD is much easier and less time-consuming than getting through the entirety of Anemos. You can get Palace done in an evening if you're taking your time with it. Don't get me wrong, I understand you point, I'm just surprised people complain about not being able to engage with the newest DD when they can't even be bothered to do the most basic part of the most accessible one out there.
