well I do say that when more then 50% of the game are catgirl it would be well kinda dum to do a set focused on male when female is 65% of the player base

Causation vs correlation. People pick female characters because most glam looks much better. It's difficult to find glam for a masculine character without looking like wannabe Hulk or a caricature. I am convinced there would be more male characters if we had more options to make them look appealing.

90-95% of items available in the game, presuming they are wearable by classes that wear 'armor.' I mean if you're asking 'where's the armor for black mages' they don't wear it, so yeah.

I'm getting so tired of whichever designer at the ffxiv team has a vendetta against male thigh. It's more work to make two versions of the same bottoms, and nobody's happy with being unable to choose which they get. I know plenty of women who just want pants but keep getting shorts. Genuinely don't know why they're so insistent on gender locking new gear while simultaneously patting themselves on the back for unlocking old gear. The second thing's great, can we please stop doing the first one?

It feels weird because the Aiming alliance raid set, the one inspired by Lilisette, is way more "girly" than this one and it's imposed on male characters regardless (given the preview picture on male miqo).

They're just not consistent with the gear design guidelines.

i have my problems with monster hunter wilds but that game did armor/glamour well! Every character can wear either the "male" of "female" set. No restrictions. its perfect! I dont understand whe the ffxiv keeps doing this. im so tired of every healer has robes, every male armor has pants, like what??? why???

The pants ARE the issue. Men are always getting slacks. The amount of stocking we get is far far less in comparison too women's, and we have zero option garter/thigh belts.

It works the other way as well. I know plenty of female players who wants pants for female characters.

The thing is if females want pants they have options

Males have literally nothing besides pants or shisui style speedos (not that I’m complaining on that front)

Like I legit can’t think of a single short to medium stylish shorts for males that aren’t just swimwear while I can think of multiple pants for females even if they still don’t get enough because of gender locked garbage like this
