So we have to look through our inventories, armoires, and retainers and attempt to remember (and locate) upwards five hundred thirty items.
Perhaps we should all call GMs and let them play a massive game of spot the differences. w
I sure hope so...
Because people cheat the system and try to get things back that they actually did not lose, the GMS have to make sure that this is an actual case of lost items. Should be able to get the stuff back.Problems and errors can happen when playing video games. Humans are not perfect. just set aside your emitions and try to get help from support.
You need to understand that what happened to you is a radical extreme rare case- but if you ask for help, you might be able to get your stuff back.
Games will crash, games will have bugs. it's jsut something that will happen sometimes, so try to contain your anger. Nobody at Square Enix said, "oh, what can we do to make people miserable today? Oh, I know! let's delete somebody's items! That would do it!"
-edit-
Investigations can take a long time, especially if it's a brand new problem. The game's internal workings are not simple- it can take time to find the problem. I hope you're not misdirecting your rage at people who didn't cause your problem...
Take a deep breath and log your experience with the staff you contact. When its over, send a full report of it so that they know where they can improve the system. Being patient and clear, insistent with them is the only way to get things done as soon as possible. Very cool you had a list of all your stuff. Hope you get it back asap.
To :Babydoll, On your in game menu, there is support options to contact a GM in game. Also there is the web site https://secure.square-enix.com but if you lost all your items through no fault of your own, ingame GM is the best route.

Hai! I'm Vahl, in ur mmorpgs, sort'n my inventory and putt'n 2 many H's in my name since FFXI..FFXIV Inventory Tetris Champ

should of used a authenticator, most likely your out of luck maybe get achievement items back but nothing else theres no proof too.
example: i could of have 100 million gil in total, and i say i lost it think ill get it back?
I lost a few items too.. i rather get them over again then to deal with SE to try to get them back

Not logged on since I spoke to a GM. The GM response was very fast (literaly within 5 mins) and he was very polite and knew what he was doing I was happy with that. We went through every item I lost that I could remember, it was a hell of a lot.
2 crowns (not worried about these as they can be got back from npcs)
4 full sets of AF and some random pieces from other sets (he can see ive done all the job quests)
Every single Unique/untradable or Unique only seasonal event item since beta (these I cant replace)
26 kupo nut charms i had in retainer with 20 I took out to get 2 mog wepons, so 20 kupo nut charms lost total (these im more worried about than anything, took ages to get that many and was saving them for this patch.)
I feel bad for entering rage mode and i misdirect it in all directions usualy and i know thats wrong and feel bad afterwoulds, but being told it could take a week or more and might not get all items back just pissed me off.
I appreciate the fast customer service from the GM and the rep response on this thread, and look forward to having every item I lost replaced.

I logged onto FFXIV shortly after the update on 4/26 (11:00PM -11:30PM) and promptly went to The Battlecraft row in the Ul'dah Market. I retrieved 9 KupoNuts I had from my retainer. I also had one in my inventory from a Moogle win the night before. This gave me the requisite number of nuts to purchase the Malignant Mog Fists from the NPC (Rowena) in the UlDah Merchant Strip I immediately returned to the Market wards to store the Mog Fists on my Retainer. Upon clicking on the Battlecraft Row entry button my character froze and remained as such while others near me came and went. Limkshell members in other game areas were on Team Speak with me and all reported being "locked" five minutes later i Crashed and received the message that shutting down Final Fantasy in this manner may cause Data to be lost. "As if I was in Control". I tried for about 20 mimutes to re-log but was unsuccessful receiving a variety of server errors. I decided to try again in a few hours and at 4:42 AM was able to re-enter game play. I proceeded to finish what i had started but was shocked when I could not locate my Malignant MogFists. My dissapointment grew when I realized that the Kupo Nut Charms were also gone with the exception of the lone Nut Charm I had in my inventory before the Post Update server crash. I mentioned the activities of my Link Shell members and nearby players during this incident to clear up any lingering doubt that this was my ISP fault. So Far I have sent one Chat message at the moment the loss was noted which was after hours so it was "forwarded" with a case number to support. A formal email request for help also with a ticket number yesterday afternoon and a one to one conversation with a GM two hours ago from whom I am still waiting to hear back on his decision.
Any help or ideas will be greatley appreciated
I lost some basic stuff for some reason.. I lost a couple cobalt winglets, alot of crafting mats.. lost some bigger ticket items like ifrits sword, and a couple kupo nuts. Well no... it can and will happen to other people.Been almost a week now, still have not recieved my items back. completly ruined this patch for me. Glad all the GMs are enjoying there golden week. Just keep your cool when talking to GMs/Support.
being pissed of and angry isn't going to resolve your situation faster. It sucks what happened to you, but I repeat, it's not like someone picked you out and said "let's make their life miserable.'
If I was assigned to your call and you gave me an attitude, I wouldn't want to help you. So even though you're angry, be respectful when someone responds to your GM call or support ticket.
