No housing news this LL

Hell, I'm out here wondering how they're even gonna deliver all the stuff they promised in the time they have left. Remember beastmaster? I kinda forgot it was even gonna be a thing.

Thought we were getting multiple Variant dungeons too, but we’re already going into 7.3! (And so help me if we get another “oops it Savage,” or “we couldn’t squeeze in Normal level difficulty,” again, that might be it for me…)

But to the point, we were told in the DT promo LLs - well ahead of launch - that the item increase was slated for 7.2 or 7.3. To be put in game, not “talked about.” 7.2 was we need a little more time and hey wouldn’t it be cool if you could change the interior size of your house too? No timeframe given for that feature at all remember, it was talked about in a random interview and then they talked about it briefly in 7.2 LL as something they wanted to do/were working on. Now 7.3 part one, “housing updates to come in the second LL,” only to get the same “we need more time” we got last patch?!

At this point there should be some details. I want to know exactly how big this increase is and what exactly the delays are in implementing it. If they are trying to release the interior remodel size at the same time and that’s why it’s taking so long? Great, then say so! After the Forked Tower fiasco, they really need to build up goodwill with the casual player base again.

Exactly! Tell us what’s coming so we at least have something to look forward to! I’m talking exact numbers of the planned item increase for each size. If it’s significant enough, that takes the sting out of the wait.

But if waiting this long to get less than a 50 item increase (and really I’d rather at least 100, and prefer double), it’s just going to be even more disappointing.

That's really the issue - communicating a specific time for further details and then providing zero details wasn't a small thing. At that point you're actually ACTIVELY wasting people's time, and some of the people you've told will hear more at x time on x date are potentially getting up at 3am local time and waiting 4 hours to hear you say nothing at all. That's verging on actual player hostility and contempt, and is at the very least an active lack of consideration.

It actually falls inline with my post that you might have already read, on housing and their lack of compassion towards people with physical and mental health issues. They have no compassion for their players and all they care about is the profits they can make on the next merch drop.

I am in just in here liking everybody's posts, because you are all right.

I won't take copium again, they delayed/ignored/handwaved it way too much. Taking 10 sec to say "no ready lel" during a 4h + live letter after saying they would actually talk about it, was just a big middle finger.

Wasnt that insane!!! It was CRAZY disrespectful to me, omg...because why did he wait ALL THE WAY until the VERY end?? People were asking about it that entire stream, and he saw it in the chat. But he intentionally waited all the way until 4 hours laters to take 10 seconds and say "no housing updates sorry" and then move right onto chat bubbles. WHAT!!!!!! Did he really just clickbait us to leech for views-what kind of failed youtuber antics is this!!

The live letter is emblematic of the whole. Just as they used the housing update promise to string you along until the end of the LL, so too are they using the promise of housing updates to string you along for this expansion.

He is literally doing it on purpose, and last night was just SO blatant it was shocking to me. and people who arent interested in housing just completely didnt notice, and keep acting like housing fans are being hysterical/crazy. Like!! Did you guys really not just see that!! He specifically told us to tune in, and then made sure we tuned in until the end, and THEN told us at the end he has nothing for us. HELLO!!!

Thaaank you because I stayed up soo excited, I just KNEW today was the day and it would be worth how tired I'd be for the rest, and then it WASNT!! OOOO I was SEETHINGGG lmao. I am literally never going to watch another LL again-and I've watched every single LL since 2018. I havent missed ONE. NOT anymore!! Now that I see he's acting desperate for views, he can forget it!

From what I saw in the chat during the stream, a Japanese Reddit Discord translated when they announced the housing updates were not ready but they are close and therefore delayed. It's upsetting but I also am being optimistic and it may sound silly but I hope it was because of the shots fired from WoW and it has lit a fire underneath them. I hope to be pleasantly surprised if it is the case but I also know to temper my expectations.

Wow housing is not coming this year .and with wow we all know they are well known for hyping a thing and then underdeliver .wow is already struggling badly with optimisation .I know because I played it just till last week and decided I will not renew my sub with wow and housing God knows what things will be broken in wow when they implement it.

At least they’re seeing what people want from housing and trying to provide it, even if they fail or fall short. So even though I don’t play their game, I can appreciate their efforts, and hope it spurs competition over here. lol

We just now got the ability to change interior design, although when we said we wanted to be able to remove pillars, most of us didn’t mean by making a plain white wall layout; we just wanted the ability to turn off or on the existing pillars. At least we got the ability to change neighborhood themes out of it, and I’m hoping it inspires more layouts in the future.

But we’ve got an insanely long thread of housing ideas and suggestions that could be worked on… And of course, a Z axis being one of the most requested features that WoW is implementing from watching one of the preview videos. This game already registers/saves this information, or else you wouldn’t be able to “float” things.

Especially after this LL, housing feels like an afterthought to them… I’d love to see them do a special “housing update” stream, with no other information, just so they could see how many players show up for it, because I bet it would be a significant amount!

I know there's people who only engage in housing as a guest of houses/venues and they are even interested in the housing updates cause they would love to see more creativity in the places they visit and new places they discover, so I could even see them going to watch just to see whats upcoming.
