just tagging onto this thread as well to make sure my support of changing it is known. post count shouldn't really matter-- a lot of people are rightfully upset by this matter, and have the right to bring it up to the dev team when this is the best way of getting it in front of their eyes.

Actually it has everything to do with me and other players who choose to wear these outfits. While it is true that devs implemented them, yet if someone wears it, such as if in a dawntrail dungeon or trial or raid, are you going to be offended? Are you going to send that player a tell about how they shouldn't be wearing it because it offends you?

You wouldn't have the option to wear the gear if it didn't exist so it doesn't concern you. You can't wear something that doesn't exist.

I'm not into harassing people who have nothing to do with me. I'm not really sure where you would get that I personally would harass anyone because I didn't say anything like that in any of my posts.

This is all on the devs & this is a product I pay for. If we are unhappy about a product then we are able to speak up & voice our concerns just the same way you can say you're mad about people being upset about something that symbolizes hate.

Tagging along here to also voice my distaste for the new gearsets and their inspirations. I'm not qualified to talk about the rough portrayal, given my lack of concrete knowledge about the topic. But the twist in my stomach doesn't lessen after I've had multiple people explain to me how these designs are quite tonedeaf. Especially considering the expansion's themes thus far. I'd really like to think the art team meant well, but this feels like they looked up designs from an era and didn't do much research into what those designs represented.

As far as amending the issue, the gear would have to be pushed to some other model, probably a recolor of older gear. Game development time withstanding, they can't remake the whole series of gear in time for the patch. It'd be best to fix these designs, but the schedule will take precedence. Hopefully they hear the voices of everyone who's concerned and upset about this decision.

Simple because while I gotten plenty of tells that were positive and showed interest and wanted to adopt my look for wearing the full new world outfit, I also have gotten those that tried to shame me for wearing such an outfit.

After all, even if you think its only on the devs for implementing it, players will still see other players wearing whatever outfit as a target for how they feel offended and voice their complaints onto, usually through tells.

As while your merely looking at the starting line of this, of the outfits implemented, I am looking at the end result, of players going about their day wearing these outfits.

You're acting as if square enix isn't a business & we're not paying customers.

They are not a small indie company.

This is a forum where it is encouraged that we give feedback if we are unhappy with something.

You would have a point if people were actively going to Yoshi-P's house & yelling at him or something but that's not what is happening here.

I'm Mexican, can people stop being offended on my behalf. The armor is fine. It doesn't even look remotely similar to conquistador armor. It lacks the iconic breastplate and the helmets are completely different than what Conquistadors used. None of these gearsets have the colorful puffy sleeves as well.

People cannot be serious when they say that the Casting/Healing gear is "Conquistador" themed. Conquistadors are the last thing I'd think of when I see those robes.
