In the context of OC, this achievement is something SE expect everyone to obtain by grinding. Yet, what we are seeing now completely contradicts that notion. It is not supposed to be an easy title to get, but it is circumvented by the gil method.

No, this is definitely false. You would need to open ~1m chests to get the achievement which would take ~50,000 hours assuming 20 chests an hour which is generous. No way square expected that.

You need 100.000 chests, not 1m, the droprate is 1%. You can open about 30-40 per hour, so thats 2500 hours of grind. Its bad but still doable. Winning 3k frontline matches is more time consuming

it is 1% per chest, which adds up in the wrong odds even further....

it is like you can have a gather point at 99% and fail to get some 3 out of 4 attempts....

Also when removing materia from gear that is supposed to be 40% it is not when you add it up.

well, you dont have to. You can farm it by all possible means in the game, since you can also just buy them for gil. Nothing locks you into OC

Thats my whole point. There is no way SE intended people to grind it for 2500 hours.

i still belive they messed up its droprate, along with the 99 sanguinite mount. They should have added carrots to silver chests with a 5-10% droprate to make it bearbable, instead of the mount

I hope they do better with the next zone drop rates
