Disgustingly greedy pricing on latest cash shop items

The pricing is entirely ridiculous without even factoring in the hoops you need to jump through to make it a dedicated outfit. The 22 USD for the street attire was already egregious for an outfit set with one addition. 42 total for everything? Split between three items? There's no incentive to even really purchase it when we know the money isn't going back into XIV anyway.

I generally don’t mind supporting the game through glamour purchases in addition to my sub, but considering what Yoshi-P said in the last Live Letter, that certain content couldn’t be developed due to lack of resources or budget, this just feels like a slap in the face. The game has several areas in need of improvement, yet players keep getting squeezed for more money..

Looking back, those comments look like he was just priming the pump for more expansive microtransactions, like we will panic and think, "omg, sure I pay for a monthly sub, box prices for expansions, and $2-$18 extra for more storage, but I NEED to give se even more money now so they can afford to make us content!" and then we will open our wallets and make it rain. Myself, I am only willing to give extra money to a company that makes my normal payments worth my while.

commenting if not just to boost this and show SE that this is absolutely not okay. i don't care how much i love the pants (which is a lot, they're straight up the best skin-tight pants atm), spending that much money to not even get a full glam set is awful. do better SE

This is such an absurd and greedy price for such a simple outfit, especially when the tops are basically the same (no the "cut" in the back doesn't count as a difference) and especially since, again, Viera and Hrothgar players can't even wear the hat (right after they said they will add a lot of hat compat for viera and hroth in the live letter). I was excited for this set but i definitely won't buy it. It's insulting to put this at this price when we know from the live letter that the team doesn't even have enough funds to do some things they would want to do. So where is all our money going?

I would be willing to give them more money (on top of that nice sub we pay monthly) if it went to the game devs instead of SE pockets to give to other projects

so square needs defending for the cash shop on top of a subscription service game and the items are not account wide because it's inconvenient to devs...

I buy Mogstation items from time to time, but if this is the direction Square is going with it, I'm going to be saving money lol

Something I think about when I'm deciding whether or not to purchase a costume set from Mogstation is 1) how many different pieces do I get and 2) are those pieces versatile enough to be used in lots of different outfits? if not, do I love them enough to build outfits around them? I was glad to see sets being released with more pieces included, but now they want $42 for a set + slight variations on those pieces. Absolutely goofy.

Also does the male roegadyn in the mogstation cropped slops picture look weird to anyone else? like he's got a harness + fitted shirt on but it looks like it's all hanging loose, even with the pants it was designed to be worn with
